The most famous tourist resort on Samos is Kokkari, a very long and pebbled beach lined by taverns and hotels. Other beautiful beaches are Psili Ammos, Tsamadou, Lemonakia and Mykali. Many beaches in Samos are organized and a lot of watersports clubs are located there. However, there are also some secluded coves to enjoy tranquility and privacy. Port description

Karlovassi is located on the northwestern side of Samos. This is the second commercial port of the island after Vathi and it gets popular in summer due to its closeness to fabulous beaches.

There are buses that frequently connect Karlovassi to Vathi, crossing all the northern side of Samos. Karlovassi is also connected by bus to other villages on the central and southern part of the island.

Port description

Pythagorio is a small port on the southern side of Samos. It usually receives local ferries between islands of Dodecanese and Eastern Aegean.

Vathi is the capital and main port of Samos island. The port of Vathi is frequently connected with Piraeus and various islands of Cyclades, Dodecanese and Eastern Aegean. In summer, there is daily boat connection to Kusadasi Turkey.
