General Information about Kythnos Island, Cyclades

Kythnos is a typical Cycladic island, famous for the healing springs and the calm beaches. The port of Kythnos is Merihas, a picturesque place with frequent tourism traffic. White houses surround this bay and offer gorgeous view to the sea. The island is located in close distance to Athens and has been a popular destination for the weekends.

The most impressive beach of Kythnos is Kolona, a long stretch of sand that actually creates two beaches. Equally beautiful beaches are Loutra, Gaidouromantra and Kanala. Chora, Driopida and Loutra are nice villages that keep their traditional character. Stroll around the paved paths and discover the traditional character of Kythnos.
