Introduction:

Erturk Travel and Shipping was established in 1960 in Izmir Turkey. At first, it was carrying passengers and vehicles between Turkey and Greece. However, in the late 70s and early 80s, with the increase of tourism development in both countries, it set up a ferry connection between the Greek island of Chios and the Cesme, close to Izmir, the third largest town in Turkey. The company is member of the IATA (International Air Transport Association) and TURSAB (Association of the Turkish Travel Agencies).
