My wife and I took a ferry From Crete (Kissamos) to Kythira and back. Booking was simple and easy and information about ticket collection was clear. Both journeys were very pleasant, stress-free and very comfortable. The facilities on board are great, with a small canteen and plenty of seating and lounges. Staff are extremely friendly and the whole journey was relaxing. On the return trip we decided to book a cabin due to it being an overnight sail, and I have to say the cabin vastly exceeded our expectations. The cabins are large, clean, with a large bathroom and shower. Not what we expected at all. Quite frankly, they are a bargain at the slightly extra cost. We both woke refreshed, and even had a wake-up call from the staff to make sure we didn't oversleep and miss our stop.

Cyclades island ferries

Simple enough booking, very efficient ships' embarking and disembarking, timely departures (though often left early!) Online booking and check in for some was great, BUT having to go collect tickets physically at ports is a nightmare if you're not staying near them or the offices. Also the extortionate price hike for when a ferry is cancelled, due to weather, and you have to rebook and eg get a 50% refund (in our case €10 for a pair of tickets Naxos to Folegandros) but a pair of send am Itickets for the following day cost €137!!!) Ouch!

We would like to clarify that NOT all the ferry companies in Greece offer E-tickets yet and consequently for some of them the only option is to pick up the tickets from the port kiosk, which is always situated close to the ferry departure point.
As far as your tickets from Naxos to Folegandros are concerned we would like to clarify that they did not concern a cancelled itinerary due to bad weather and that was the reason why 50% cancellation fees applied as they were cancelled on the same day of departure. For the trip that you had with Express Skopelitis that got cancelled, of course, you are entitled to a full refund.
In general, if an itinerary gets cancelled due to bad weather or other reason it is always 100% refundable. We can understand your frustration that the same ferry you had booked for this connection for only 10 euro per person was not available the next day and therefore you had to buy tickets with Seajets ferry which were much more expensive.
