Sea Dreams is a local company based in Rhodes whose vessels serve close itineraries. It owns three vessels (King Saron, King of Rhodes and Kartepe), which operate routes from Rhodes to Symi and the Turkish resorts of Bodrum and Marmaris.

Policy of the company

Cancellation Policy

- Up to 1 day before departure date: 100% refund on tickets value.
- Up to 12 hours before departure date: 50% refund on tickets value.
- Cancellations made in less than 12 hours before departure are not entitled to a refund.

Alternatively:
Up till 1 hour before departure time there is a choice of changing the tickets into Open Dated tickets in order for them to be used for another trip.

Ticket Issue

All tickets are issued with the name of the passenger on it and is not transferable. It is valid only for the category and the route that it has been issued for.
The ticket does not include catering.
Passengers should be at the embarkation area of the vessel one (1) hour before departure. If the passenger is not in time for sailing, s/he does not have the right for refund of the fare but s/he can change the booking for another date.

Passengers Tickets Conditions

Approved by the Hellenic Ministry of Mercantile Marine
If you have issued a whole ticket, you are allowed to carry a luggage of 40kg with you.
In case of ticket loss, this can not be replaced or refunded.
The ferry company is not responsible for any loss or damage of luggage during the trip, for which the only responsible is the passenger.
The company is not responsible for any delay or cancellation of departure in case of bad weather conditions, force majeure and order of the Marine Merchandise Ministry or the Port Authorities.
It is forbidden to the passengers to carry explosives, inflammable, incendiary and dangerous in general materials.
The passengers are responsible for the observance of the Harbor, Sanitary and Custom regulations.
The passengers should comply with the captains and the crew orders regarding the maintenance of order and the safety of the ship.
The passenger should address any complaint during the trip to the ships captain or first mate and after the arrival, to the shipping company or to the Harbor Authorities.
If for any reason the travel is cancelled due to the ships responsibility, the fare is refunded without any further obligation of the shipping company towards the passenger.
The shipping company has the right, after approval of the Ministry of Mercantile Marine, to replace the vessel for which the ticket was issued with another vessel.

Taxes to Marmaris: Adults pay full ticket without discount. Children pay half ticket. Infants (until 6 years old) travel for free.
Passengers traveling between Turkey and Greece will be requested to pay port taxes before their embarkation. The amount for the port taxes is 15€ per person.

Vehicle Transport Receipt Conditions

Approved by the Hellenic Ministry of Mercantile Marine
The drivers are obligated to load and unload their vehicle.
The vehicles should be at the waiting for shipment area one (1) hour before departure.
The driver is not entitled to refund of the fare if he is not in time for sailing, while if he states before sailing his intention not to ship his vehicle, he is entitled to a refund of half of the fare.
In case of loss of vehicle transport receipt, the fare is not refunded.
The vehicles passengers have to get out of them before their shipment aboard.
The passengers should carry with them objects that they need during the travel. After sailing the entrance to the vehicle station is forbidden.
The transportation of explosives, incendiary and dangerous in general materials is forbidden. The priority order is determined by the Port Regulations of each Harbor Authorities, where the vehicles are shipped.

Documentation for cars from/to Turkey

In order to travel to Turkey with car, the car driver must also be the car owner and must also have the international insurance card for Turkey (green card).
For the car reservation, passengers must send by fax or email the car license card.

  • Nightmare!

    [Translated from French]
    The trip from Rhodes to Symi with Blue Star ferries went very smoothly - on the other hand, the Symi / Rhodes trip with Sea Dreams was a nightmare: instead of arriving at 4.45pm as planned, the boat arrived in Rhodes 1h20 late: without any explanation! I had booked a cab at the port at 4.45pm to take me to the airport, which obviously couldn't wait. I had to find another cab, I arrived at the airport at 7pm for a 7.15pm flight and if the flight hadn't been delayed I wouldn't have been able to take it. The airline accepted me on board but was unable to check in my luggage as I arrived too late and had to carry it with me on the plane, which was very inconvenient as I am 74 years old. What's more, if I'd missed my flight to Paris because of the boat delay, I'd also have missed my connecting flight early the next day. So I'm very dissatisfied with my return trip: the lack of professionalism on the part of the company and the heavy inconvenience suffered.

    Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry about the delay you faced with the ferry company Seadreams. We would like to inform you that after receiving your review, we contacted the ferry company to find out why this happened and why you were not informed on time about this delay, and they informed us that it was due to unexpected issues they faced on that day and could not have predicted. Consequently, after your approval, they refunded you 80 euro which includes the cost of your trip Symi to Rhodos 22 euro plus taxi fee of 30 euro from the port to the airport, plus 28 euro compensation for the bad experience you had. The amount will show on your account in a few working days, depending on your bank.

  • Rhodes Marmaris Ferry

    While we were exceptionally pleased with the Santorini > Rhodes ferry service, we were quite disappointed when it came time to travel from Rhodes to Marmaris. We arrived to pick up our tickets 1 hr before departure only to be told the ferry was over-booked and they had to choose 5 people to cancel. As a consolation, they offered us 10 euro for bus fare and a ticket instead to Fethiye. Of course, by the time we arrived in Fethiye, there were no direct buses to take us to Marmaris, and 10 euro hardly covered our portion of the taxi, even when split with another couple. Our final destination was Kas, so we ended up going 4 hours out of our way to get to the hotel we'd booked in Marmaris for the night, and then right back to where we started the next day. This was a waste of our time and money!

  • Excellent service

    Service is fine. Only mistake they did I had two pets they did not inform me that they need copy of their passports in advance. After my question Wetherthey inform Bodrum rhodos travel list or not they told me they are waiting for pets passports. If they don\'t inform me how I know that they are waiting for them. After I send everything was perfect and always ask me if everything is fine or not or any problems I face. So I say excellent service
