About Kissamos

Kissamos is a small seaside town on the western side of Crete, about 40 km west of Chania Town. The town is also known as Kastelli Kissamou, or just Kastelli, due to the Venetian castle that existed in the area. With its traditional architecture and the nice beaches, Kissamos gets popular with tourists in summer. Due to its location, it serves as a convenient place for excursions on the western side of Crete.
