With its large greek ferry, Superferry II, it serves daily trips from Rafina to the Cyclades islands of Andros, Tinos and Mykonos. With all modern facilities, Superferry II offers a comfortable and quick trip to travelers.

Policy of the company

Passengers Tickets Conditions

Approved by the Hellenic Ministry of Mercantile Marine
The ticket is issued in the passengers name, is personal and non-transferable. It is valid only for the class and the trip for which it was issued.
The fare does not include catering.
Passengers should be at the embarkation area of the ship one (1) hour before departure. If the passenger is not in time for sailing, he/she is not entitled to a refund of the fare. In case of cancellation, passengers are entitled 50% refund if they cancel their reservation before departure.
Children up to 4 years old travel free of charge and are not entitled to bed, while children over 4 and up to 10 years old pay a reduced fare and are entitled to bed.
The bearer of a full ticket is allowed to carry free of charge luggage up to 40 kilos or 1 cubic meter.
In case of loss of the ticket, it will not be replaced nor the fare will be refunded. The shipping company is not responsible for any damage or loss of the passengers luggage that is under the personal care of him/her during the trip.
Jewellery, money and valuable objects may be delivered to the ships accounting office for safekeeping.
The shipping company will not be responsible for any delay in sailing, deviation and not keeping normal route, due to bad weather conditions or orders of the Ministry of Mercantile Marine or the Harbor Authorities or due to force major.
It is forbidden to the passengers to carry explosives, inflammable, incendiary and dangerous in general materials.
The passengers are responsible for the observance of the Harbor, Sanitary and Custom regulations. The passengers should comply with the captains and the crew orders regarding the maintenance of order and the safety of the ship.
The passenger should address any complaint during the trip to the ships captain or first mate and after the arrival, to the shipping company or to the Harbor Authorities.
If for any reason the travel is cancelled due to the ships responsibility, the fare is refunded without any further obligation of the shipping company towards the passenger.
The shipping company has the right, after approval of the Ministry of Mercantile Marine, to replace the vessel for which the ticket was issued with another vessel.

Vehicle Transport Receipt Conditions

Approved by the Hellenic Ministry of Mercantile Marine
The drivers are obligated to load and unload their vehicle.
The vehicles should be at the waiting for shipment area one (1) hour before departure and in any case on the time prescribed by the Port Regulation in force.
The driver is not entitled to refund of the fare if he is not in time for sailing, while if he states before sailing his intention not to ship his vehicle, he is entitled to a refund of half of the fare.
In case of loss of vehicle transport receipt, the fare is not refunded.
The vehicles passengers have to get out of them before their shipment aboard.
The passengers should carry with them objects that they need during the travel. After sailing the entrance to the vehicle station is forbidden.
The transportation of explosives, incendiary and dangerous in general materials is forbidden. The priority order is determined by the Port Regulations of each Harbor Authorities, where the vehicles are shipped.

Cancellation policy

If the cancellation is made for August Easter break and Holy Spirit break, the following terms apply:
- 14 days before the departure, the tickets are fully refunded or turned to open-date tickets or they are changed to another day.
- From 14 days up to 12 hours before departure: 50% refund or change to open date ticket.
- From 12 hours before departure to upon departure time: the tickets can not be cancelled or turned to open date tickets.
- After the departure of the ship, the tickets can not be refunded or turned to open date tickets.

During Low Season (all the other dates, except the high-season dates), the following terms apply:

 - From 14 days to 6 days before departure: the tickets are 75% refunded or alternatively they are turned to open date tickets.
 - From 6 days up to 12 hours before departure: 50% refund or change to open date ticket.
 - From 12 hours before departure to upon departure time: the tickets can not be cancelled or turned to open date tickets.
 * After the ferry departure, the tickets can not be cancelled or turned to open date tickets.

  • Cancelled Ferry = Missed Plane Flight

    We had a ferry trip from Mykonos to Athens that was scheduled the night before out flight back to USA. We downloaded our boarding passes, went to the port but the Ferry wasn't there! We ended up missing our flights home and had to buy new tickets for the following day $1000 each ($3000 total) We were told that Golden Star Ferries would reimburse us since we weren't notified in advance of the cancellation but they will not respond to any emails or letters from my lawyer. My last ditch effort is to leave a bad review in hopes that someone in power gets in contact with me...

Kindly note that in case of canceled itinerary as in accordance with our terms and conditions that you accepted before proceeding to this booking the refund amount you are entitled to is the total ticket rate. This has already been refunded to you with the replacement tickets you received at Sea and Sky travel in Mykonos as Golden Star ferries has informed us.

    Below are the according terms and conditions of Ferriesingreece.com that you accepted:
    "In case of a canceled itinerary, our company is not responsible for any further refund apart from the ferry ticket rate."
    And here are the general ferry ticket conditions in Greece that you also accepted:
    PASSENGERS TICKET CONDITIONS APPROVED BY THE HELLENIC MINISTRY OF MERCANTILE MARINE
    IF FOR ANY REASON THE TRAVEL IS CANCELLED DUE TO THE SHIPS RESPONSIBILITY, THE FARE IS REFUNDED WITHOUT ANY FURTHER OBLIGATION OF THE SHIPPING COMPANY TOWARDS THE PASSENGER.

    Golden Star ferries informed us also that on the 27th of August they informed all the passengers affected by this cancellation via sms. As per the check proceeded, this number unfortunately was wrong so this is obviously the reason that you did not receive the notification. The mobile number that you had provided when making the booking is the one that the ferry company has access to via the central booking system. You can check the mobile number you provided on your booking confirmation email.

  • I traveled with the SupperRunner to Ios and back and I was pleased with the accommodations and the staff but the trip was about 1 1/2 to 2 hours longer with no real reason like weather or other delays and that can be a problem especially when you arrive really late (11pm) in Rafina and have to drive to Athens (Chalandri) to meet with the AirBnb apartment owners to get the keys and find something to eat. Other than that my experience was good and I will definitely book my island travels with them again.
