About SymiThe natural landscape, the impressive architecture, the customs and the hospitality of the locals create a unique atmosphere in Symi. The island is part of Dodecanese and it is a monument in itself.
The main village of Simi has two settlements: Ano Symi or Chorio that is built along the slopes of a hill, and Gialos, the port of the island. Colorful stone houses are spread amphitheatrically around the port, creating wonderful scenery.
In Symi, you will find pebbled beaches surrounded by lovely greenery. Some beaches are organized, while others are secluded. Worth to visit is the Monastery of Panormitis, on the southern side of the island.
