Please note that, as you informed us of your wish to change your trip only four days before departure, it was unfortunately not possible at that stage to cancel and fully refund your ticket, according to the ferry company’s terms and conditions.
Additionally, when a passenger changes a booking from Syros–Mykonos to a cheaper route, the fare difference cannot be refunded or credited toward a future trip. This policy is also part of the ferry company’s terms and conditions, which were accepted during the booking process.
Open-date tickets
Tickets can be converted to open-date tickets up to 24 hours before departure. Open-date tickets remain valid for one year from the conversion date, but are not valid for boarding until exchanged for new tickets with a confirmed departure date.
If the new fare is higher, the passenger must pay the difference. If it is lower, the fare difference is non-refundable.
Please note that open-date and reissued tickets cannot be cancelled.
Had you provided us with medical documentation, we could have submitted an exception request to the ferry company on your behalf to see whether a full refund might have been granted due to the circumstances.
