Seajets is the biggest company of high-speed vessels in the Aegean Sea. It is a joint venture of high-speed ferries initially founded in 1989 to provide shipping services. The company's passenger ferries have been connecting over 26 destinations in the Aegean Sea since 2002. Their fleet consists of 14 high-speed catamarans and 3 conventional ferries, with a speed of up to 50 knots.
Seajets connect the main ports of Athens (Piraeus, Rafina and Lavrion), other parts of the mainland (Thessaloniki, Kavala, Peloponnese) and Crete (Rethymno and Heraklion) to the islands of the Cyclades (Mykonos, Santorini, Paros, Naxos, and more), the Sporades and the Northern Aegean Islands. The timetables are renewed every year before the tourist season and the connections are available on a daily basis.
The vessels of Seajets have been designed to offer fast and comfortable journeys to both visitors and permanent residents of the Greek islands. They are air-conditioned, with open-deck seats or indoor lounges depending on the vessel, business facilities and bars-restaurants. In total, the high-speed ferries can carry up to 20,000 passengers. They also have garages with a capacity of 3,500 vehicles.
The ferry WorldChampion Jet is considered the fastest ferry in Greece.
In 2018, Seajets earned the title of "Passenger Line of the Year" at the Lloyd’s List Greek Shipping Awards.
