Sea Jets

Sea Jets is a joint venture of speedboats founded in 1989. Its fleet consists mainly of catamarans that connect the main ports of Athens and Crete with the Cyclades islands.

Offering fast transfer between the islands is the main goal of Sea Jets company as well as providing frequent daily connections between them in order to satisfy the permanent residents and visitors.

Policy of the company

Passengers Ticket Conditions

Approved by the Hellenic Ministry of Mercantile Marine
The ticket is issued in the passengers name, is personal and non-transferable. It is valid only for the class and the trip for which it was issued.
The fare does not include catering.
Passengers should be at the embarkation area of the ship 45 min before departure. If the passenger is not in time for sailing, he/she is not entitled to a refund of the fare.
Infant is not available as a passenger type for Sea Jets. Therefore you do not need to issue infant tickets for this ferry company. The infant aged between 0 and 2 years old travels on the same seat with a parent. However, you have to inform the staff at the port kiosk of the ferry company before departure that you will be traveling with an infant. If you wish to have a separate seat for your infant, you need to book a child ticket. Children from 3 years and up to 10 years old pay the reduced child fare.
The bearer of a full ticket is allowed to carry free of charge luggage up to 40 kilos or 1 cubic meter.
In case of loss of the ticket, it will not be replaced nor the fare will be refunded. The shipping company is not responsible for any damage or loss of the passengers luggage that is under the personal care of him/her during the trip.
Jewellery, money and valuable objects may be delivered to the ships accounting office for safekeeping.
The shipping company will not be responsible for any delay in sailing, deviation and not keeping normal route, due to bad weather conditions or orders of the Ministry of Mercantile Marine or the Harbor Authorities or due to force major.
It is forbidden to the passengers to carry explosives, inflammable, incendiary and dangerous in general materials.
The passengers are responsible for the observance of the Harbor, Sanitary and Custom regulations. The passengers should comply with the captains and the crew orders regarding the maintenance of order and the safety of the ship.
The passenger should address any complaint during the trip to the ships captain or first mate and after the arrival, to the shipping company or to the Harbor Authorities.
If for any reason the travel is cancelled due to the ships responsibility, the fare is refunded without any further obligation of the shipping company towards the passenger.
The shipping company has the right, after approval of the Ministry of Mercantile Marine, to replace the vessel for which the ticket was issued with another vessel. Itineraries may be changed and such changes will show on the booking engine when retrieving the specific itinerary.

Vehicle Transport Receipt Conditions

Approved by the Hellenic Ministry of Mercantile Marine
The drivers are obligated to load and unload their vehicle.
The vehicles should be at the waiting for shipment area one (1) hour before departure and in any case on the time prescribed by the Port Regulation in force.
The driver is not entitled to refund of the fare if he is not in time for sailing, while if he states before sailing his intention not to ship his vehicle, he is entitled to a refund of half of the fare.
In case of loss of vehicle transport receipt, the fare is not refunded.
The vehicles passengers have to get out of them before their shipment aboard.
The passengers should carry with them objects that they need during the travel. After sailing the entrance to the vehicle station is forbidden.
The transportation of explosives, incendiary and dangerous in general materials is forbidden. The priority order is determined by the Port Regulations of each Harbor Authorities, where the vehicles are shipped.

Cancellation Policy:

- Tickets cancelled up to 14 days before departure are 100% refundable.
- Tickets cancelled up to 7 days before departure are 75% refundable.
- Tickets cancelled up to 12 hours before departure are 50% refundable.
- If the cancellation is made less than 12 hours before departure, the tickets are not refundable at all.
- Tickets can be turned to open date tickets at least 24 hours before departure. Open tickets are valid for 1 year and they cannot be cancelled. They can change to tickets of any other date in any other route, upon availability but only once. Difference in rates is not refunded.
- In case of losing the tickets, passengers must inform the company at least 1 hour before the ferry departure.

  • Trip Santorini Mykonos

    We were 30 minutes late, due to cars blocking the exit of other vehicles in Naxos. The placement is not clear. There are seat numbers but everyone sits anywhere ... Attention: we had a bank fraud following this booking of tickets. Prefer a purchase on the spot.

    Buying them was easy and I was pleasantly surprised how quickly they came in the mail. Getting on the boat was crazy. What makes us give it a POOR experience is because you assign us seats but then let people sit anywhere. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. It caused a lot of arguing and stress for no reason. Another reason is setting times for departure and arrival and still arriving an hour late. This NEVER happened when we traveled in other European countries.

  • Cancelled in the middle of the trip

    The sailing itself with your company was a pleasant experience but: Back from Paros to Raffina Due to the fear of storm, They took us down in Mykonos Which caused us many losses because: We could not get to Athens to our flight, which took place the next morning. No one told us that we would not arrive at Raffina. If we knew we would choose to flight from Paros to Athens, and arrive on time for our flight. The delay caused us many losses. The flight back, The hotel in Rafina at the night before the flight Hotels for four days for staying up until the next flight And working days due to non-return on time At the time of downloading us from the ship in Mykonos there was no Representative who explained to us what to do and actually We were thrown off the ship as refugees.     Dear Ayala, We are very sorry to hear about the problems you faced due to the bad weather. We contacted Seajets who confirmed to us that you checked in normally with your tickets from Paros and that they were scheduled to complete the itinerary and therefore they had not sent us any notification that your trip would be canceled.
    We had, of course, sent you an alert email on the previous day that bad weather could affect your trip but at that point, the information we had was that it would not be canceled.
    Unfortunately, as Seajets informed us, the port authorities did not permit for the trip to be completed for the passengers' safety, and this is why they had to stop it in Mykonos. As this was not something that they could have known beforehand, they could not inform the passengers on time about it. As per your request, we have suggested to them to find better solutions of informing the passengers on board in such cases.

  • Not satisfied at all

    We paid for a fast ferry to get us to our destination sooner. The day before our ferry, I got a message that the time had changed, but nothing about our original ferry being cancelled, and the trip taking more than double what it was supposed to. We also were told the wrong departure time, but thank goodness we got there more than an hour early and still made our ferry. The whole experience felt very unorganized and unprofessional. I believe we also paid extra money to be on the faster ferry, which means we lost money with no offer of reimbursement. Very poor customer service.

  • Superjet

    We have booked 3 ferries for our trip to Greece. The first from Athena to Santorini was at the beginning a ferry, then it got changed for unknown reasons to a superjet and surprisingly at a higher price. The trip was horrible !!! The Superjet is closed! Very bad experience, I won’t recommend it to anyone at all. The trip from Santorini to Mykonos was way better because we had the ability to go outside the boat.

  • Island ferries

    Our ferry to Mykonos was great, appeared very well organized with our seats available to sit in. The trip from Mykonos to Santorini was a different story, it was mayhem getting on the ferry and our booked seats Business Class were taken. Apparently you have no rights to a seat, it’s a sit anywhere arrangement. Why have seat numbers i ask? Anyway, the ferry was either oversold or economy passengers were sitting in Business Class. We were a party of 4 and only 2 seats were available, along with others, 2 of us had to stand the entire trip on the back deck of the ferry. Not good enough! I would never use this service again, the option of flying to the islands would be preferable to me.

  • Not satisfied at all

    We paid for a fast ferry to get us to our destination sooner. The day before our ferry, I got a message that the time had changed, but nothing about our original ferry being cancelled, and the trip taking more than double what it was supposed to. We also were told the wrong departure time, but thank goodness we got there more than an hour early and still made our ferry. The whole experience felt very unorganized and unprofessional. I believe we also paid extra money to be on the faster ferry, which means we lost money with no offer of reimbursement. Very poor customer service
