Seajets is the biggest company of high-speed vessels of the Aegean Sea. It is a joint venture of speedboats that was initially founded in 1989 to provide shipping services. The company's passenger ferries have been connecting over 26 destinations in the Aegean Sea since 2002. Their fleet consists of 14 high-speed catamarans and 3 conventional ones, with a speed of up to 50 knots.
Seajets connect the main ports of Athens (Piraeus, Rafina and Lavrion), other parts of the mainland (Thessaloniki, Kavala, Peloponnese) and Crete (Rethymno and Heraklion) to the islands of the Aegean Sea (the Cyclades, the Sporades and the Northern Aegean Islands). The timetables are renewed every year before the tourist season and the connections are available on a daily basis.
The vessels of Seajets have been designed to offer fast and comfortable journeys to both visitors and permanent residents of the Greek islands. They are air-conditioned, with open-deck seats or indoor lounges depending on the vessel, business facilities and bars-restaurants. In total, the high-speed ferries can carry up to 20,000 passengers. They also have garages with a capacity of 3,500 vehicles.
In 2018, Seajets earned the title of "Passenger Line of the Year" at the Lloyd’s List Greek Shipping Awards.

Athens/Paros/Athens
Very good service! No delays! The staff on land and on board is very professional! I recommend this ferry company!

The experience was nice
We used Sea Jets from Santorini to Ios and later to Athens. It was comfortable once we were seated. My hubby and I were not seated next to each other on either leg, we were not the only ones with this surprise. I was disappointed we couldn't go out on deck. The communication about which dock and getting there over an hour ahead when the ferry is late was annoying - hundreds of people without shade in the heat. I understand why cars should get there that early - but why people? It was a bit scary leaving luggage in the hold for another passenger to take off with, but it worked out. This sounds bad, but we'd do it all over again. maybe by allowing less time ahead of departure

Evaluation Ferry Santorini-Heraklion
[Translated by Ferriesingreece]
Ferry late by one hour. We were made to enter the ferry on the double (a crowd of about 300 people). It was dangerous. Personally, I was on crutches and I really didn't like it. When we entered the garage, there were only 2 doors available to go upstairs. It was hot. The ferry didn't wait until we all got on the upper deck before leaving. I felt trapped in a dead-end oven. If there had been an accident... Anyway. Once upstairs, the staff decided to let us choose our seats rather than take our pre-determined seats. It was hell finding a seat, as not all passengers were aware of the decision. Once we got settled, the seats were comfortable, the facilities are clean. -
The worst ride of my life
[Translated from German]
The worst trip of my life. The ship steered full into the wave with 30 knots north wind. The 1-hour trip from Paros to Mykonos felt like a roller coaster ride. Over 40 people threw up. I have never seen so many vomit bags in my life. The ship is way too small in such weather. Very irresponsible to do the transfer in such weather. -
Bad service
[Translated from French]
Our experience with the ferry was not very good. We took the boat twice.
Mykonos to Santorini.
- The boat arrived late by some hours.
- The embarkation was done in a fast way and without logic waiting in a hold of a boat with intense heat to have access to the upper level.
Santorini to Crete.
- the boat arrived late.
- no place to wait for the boat in an air-conditioned place
- The embarkation was done in a fast way and without logic waiting in a hold of a boat with intense heat to have access to the upper level. Only two small doors to let people in.
- The boat did not have air conditioning.
This is not the best experience of my trip to Greece. -
Trip between Santorini and Heraklion 01/07/22
Good site to reserve. The recovery of the tickets on the phone was impeccable and nothing to say!
On the other hand, 1 hour of delay (still, that can happen) but to recover their delay one was put in the holds with the cars like a herd, the boat started immediately, we were all upright in the middle of the suitcases and the cars in the black and with a smell of the rather strong engines. It took 1/2 h to 3/4 h to check our tickets and to be able to get in the boat. As a result, we missed the pretty sight of santorin from the sea. Big disappointment considering the price we paid .... Everyone was sitting anywhere and it was impossible to have 3 places at side (whereas the tickets have a number of place!). Small advantage though, we were placed nicely by the personnel in a superior class! -
No information and explanation
No explanation.
3 hours late on the outward journey and 1h30 late on the return journey, even though we were warned the day before by email and SMS.
No explanation and indication on the boarding dock of the delay, obliged to go and ask each time to the staff of the boats that were arriving if it was the one from Amorgos.
Forced to wait in the middle of the port under a shelter.
On the other hand, when the boat arrives, the embarkation and the disembarkation are done very quickly and the trip on-board was fine.
One reserves for two people and they put us in two places, one in front of the other instead of side by side.
If I return I would think twice before taking again this company. -
Sea jet was a slow boat
Both of my boat ride took twice the time that was supposed, been unlucky to have the same boat even 3 days later with the same motor issue. I understand that sometimes problems can happen, but I've paid for a fast boat twice and didn't received any compensation for that slow boat.
