Miserable
[Translated from German]
When booking online, e-tickets are recommended, but you do not receive them but have to pick them up at the ticket center and pay the fee for printing the tickets.
Then the ferry is canceled, which can happen. The rebooking even worked without any problems at first, but then the second ferry was also canceled and there was no information about it. To get the refund of the tickets we stood in line for ages only to learn that there are no more refunds because there is no more cash. We should go to the office in Fira, which was impossible because the port in Santorini is totally off the beaten track ... Alternatively, we can get the money back in Paros in the office, they said. When we got there, they didn't want to pay us any money because we hadn't bought the tickets there. After a long back and forth we finally got our money. Information and processing were absolutely inadequate and incompetent. The ferry from Paros to Milos was also delayed, and there was no information as to whether it was still running. We had to ask several times in the office on our own. When she finally left 45 minutes late, the ferry crossing with the smaller speedboat was absolute horror - not for the faint of heart and stomachs. The crossing from Milos to Athens with the larger boat was OK, but not awesome either. The booked alternative from Santorini to Paros with another provider was worlds better!

Crete - Santorini
[Translated from French]
We took Power Jet for our round trip from Crete to Santorini in business class.
The advantages:
- you can leave with a rented car from Crete (price per passenger)
- fast journey
the disadvantages:
- Advertisements for bar and sandwich in several languages: too intrusive and too repetitive all along the journey, we could not close our eyes either on the outward or return trip
Noisy business class, but quite spacious compared to eco class.

Missed stop and infamous staff
[Translated from French]
While all my other ferry trips to Greece have gone well, this one with Sea Jet was particularly problematic and unpleasant since the clarity of the information on board as well as the availability of the crew and their lack of competence made me miss my stop !!
The exit place of the boat was written nowhere and announcements in Greek were at an inaudible volume... Yet I was accompanied and waited at the place where we embarqued, I did not know that there was another area to exit the boat (although other times this area corresponded to the arrival and the one I expected when leaving the boat ...). There is a very poor organization on board and when I went to ask for information at the front desk, the men did not lift their eyes of their papers and half-answered me in a whisper about the next destination and the possibilities of taking a second ferry to the desired island ... I have never seen such rudeness and it was almost comical, yet I spoke English and not French.
Fortunately, on the next island (Ios) I went to the ferry agency who called the next boat going to Naxos (my destination) so that we do not have to buy new tickets! This allowed us to discover Ios in 2 hours between our 2 ferries!
A story that ends well but odious company. Be careful to inform yourself about the exit and listen to the inaudible announcements, sit near the exit and be in front of it. If you seem to be the only one waiting there ask someone, we were lucky the coordination of the ferries was good and were able to reach our destination!!!

One month ago, I took 4 different speed boats in the Cyclads that have been systematically late (mykonos-milos-naxos-santorini)
Minimum 45 mn late and a maximum of 1H30 late for a Naxos-Mykonos (duration 30 mn) !!!
Really bad experience with no indications in the port, no employees of company, no information...NOTHING
I wish courage to all future users...

Very bad experience with the Sea Jets company. Unfortunately, we had not enough information before booking our two boat transfers. Twice we were 1 and a half hours late. The crew were rude, unhelpful, no one said hello or goodbye and obviously no explanation let alone apologies for the delays. Boarding was poorly organized, no indication, it was total chaos. We had seat numbers assigned on our boarding passes but once on board we were told "free seating". Could not find 3 places together. NEVER AGAIN!

Nonchalant welcome
[Automatic translation from French]
We took the boat in November 2019.
We had the Santorini Naxos route.
We missed our stop in Naxos because we expected a crowd to get off the boat, indeed we had heard "Naxos" on the microphone. But we thought everyone would get up to go down. The person who spoke on the microphone had a strong Greek accent, suddenly we didn't understand anything of what she was saying, and as we felt the boat always in motion, we don't think we would be arriving. For this nothing is their fault! We are the only culprits.
Once we realized, no help from the crew. We wanted to know how to get to Naxos then, where the boat was going next etc ... There was a welcome desk, but people do not care about you. Anf it was the only boat of the day .... We just wanted to know how to book a new ticket. But the crew members had "better things to do." It's all our fault but we wanted a minimum of help ...

Take the other company
[Automatic translation from French]
Prefer to travel with Blue star Ferrie which costs much less.
We had to make the trip from Santorini to Naxos.
Except that we did not go down, simply because we thought (stupidly) that there would be "a crowd movement" for the descent to Naxos. Indeed no one has moved from his places. & the voiceover who spoke with English had a Greek accent and spoke very fast, so we did not understand everything. We felt the boat turn round on the spot, so we waited for it to stabilize, in short, we stupidly missed the stop.
At the moment we understood it, we went to see the crew, indeed we missed Naxos well. But at this point, no help from the team. We were a little panicked, and asked how to do, or get off, what alternative we have to go to join Naxos.
They just told us that there was no boat every day (because out of season) and that we had to see at the next port how to do ...
We did not like the "do it yourself" at all. Unpleasant and useless staff.

Shockingly Late
We took the ferry from Milos to Santorini and the ferry was over an hour late with no communication to all of us who were waiting. The ferry itself felt grimy and overpacked. It was unclear to us if an additional stop had been made to the ferry ride as well. Boarding and unboarding also felt disorganized.

Seajets
We booked ferry crossings with both Golden Star and Seajets with Ferries in Greece.
We travelled from Rafina to Paros and then Naxos to Rafina with Golden Star and overall experienced an excellent service.
During our holiday in the Cyclades we travelled from Paros to Sifnos, Sifnos to Folengandros and then Folengandros to Amorgos with Seajets on Seajet and Seajet 2.
The experience with travel on Seajets adversely affected our ferry experience:
1) Boarding was rushed and disorganised on each occasion, with no directions or supervison of luggage storage which resulted in further inconvenience for passengers on services with multiple ports of call making luggage retrieval difficult;
2) Seating was allocated on the Boarding Pass; however, this was not adhered to, with Seajet staff advising passengers to 'sit anywhere'. This often resulted in conflict between passengers that was not resolved by staff;
3) Poor allocation of seating with couples often allocated seats in different positions on the vessel;
4) There appeared to be overcrowding on some services with many people standing, causing congestion in access ways;
5) On crowded services there was also inadequate storage space for passenger luggage resulting in baggage being stored in access ways that would compromise egress from the vessel in an emergency situation;
6) One Seajets service (Folegandros to Amorgos) was cancelled for commercial or operational reasons with warning or notification leaving us stranded in Folegandros for an extra day;
7) Concern for inhalation of vessel exhaust emissions when boarding or disembarking the vessel at the stern. Also, concern for the large black cloud of pollution that Seajet and Seajet 2 emit into the air when they leave the quay for their onward journey.

Our ferry arrived in Santorini with more than an hour and a half late. The ferry we booked was a direct flight between Athens and Santorini (4 hours),which costs more than the usual. They changed it the day before to a jet with two stops in other islands before arriving in Santorini. We asked for a partial refund, but they did not agree as it's not applicable legally (we should have been two hours late..) So convenient!

AWFUL
We booked our return journey on Sea Jets from Sifnos - it was the worst boat journey we’ve ever taken and a horrible 4 hours.
Firstly our boat at 18:35 was canceled and we were moved to the last ferry of the day. Then the boat was delayed - no real explanation was given as to why. The boat was MUCH too small for the amount of
People and their luggage and also for the weather conditions. Everyone in the boat was getting sea sick, throwing up in their seats. The staff seemed overwhelmed and didn’t really know what to do or how to help. They didn’t offer water to obviously very sick passengers. I would never wish to travel with Sea Jets again.

Fatal
[Translated from Spanish]
They sell it as the fastest ferry in the world and to start it arrives 30 minutes late to the port of Santorini.
The queues to climb are non-existent and do not have any kind of order, everyone is mixed with different boats.
I arrive 1 hour late to the destination (Athens).
They charge € 10 for a bowl of pasta, very expensive and very bad.
And worst of all, I bought the tickets on the web, 5 days before catching the ferry, they sent me an email that they had changed the schedule because they felt like it (supposedly my schedule was no longer a ferry) and it did not arrive on time to catch the plane back. I inform them that this schedule is not valid for me and they tell me that if I want to change it, I have to pay € 40 to put on the same schedule that I had already taken from the beginning. (10 minutes apart I had the schedule I took, with which they charged me later)
First they change it without asking and then they charge me more money to put the same ticket back on me. Thieves fall short.
I will not use that service or that website again.
[Answer from Ferriesingreece]
Thank you for your feedback. It is highly appreciated.
We would like to inform you that the change in the initial trip that you had booked with Seajets was due to their changes in their schedules. As is in accordance to their terms and conditions
that you accepted before proceeding to this booking they have the right to change their itineraries.
Your booking was with Terra Jet departing at 12:40 from Santorini and arriving to Piraeus at 17:55 and they changed this vessel to depart two hours later from Santorini meaning at 14:40.
Since the new arrival time was not convenient to you we suggested to change your booking to another available vessel of that date giving you all available options and you selected the Worldchampion Jet departing at 12:00.
This is a different vessel and has more expensive tickets than the Terra jet that you initially paid for and this is the reason that we had to ask you for the according difference in order to book you on it.
We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your meal on board and that it was too expensive.
Always at your disposal.

SEAJET FROM HELL
Ferries in Greece is great - customer service was top, super helpful, friendly.
UNFORTUNATELY we booked a journey with Sea Jets which was a huge mistake. first of all our boat was canceled and delayed to a later time in the night. The boat was then late arriving and leaving Sifnos, so we had over an hour delay arriving to Piraeus, eventually getting there after 1am - and this was not the worst problem. The boat was too small, both for the amount of people on it and for the weather in which we were sailing. Everyone in the boat was seasick due to the movement of the tiny boat on the rough sea. The boat was very dirty and there is not enough room for luggage. The bathrooms were full of people and sick and passengers were throwing up in their seats. The journey was horrible and there was no help from the staff on board. It felt like we were in an emergency situation for the entire journey. There was not even an apology for the delay in arrival. We would NEVER book a journey with this company again.

From start to finish a nightmare. We were not able to book tickets with our American iPad. Had to use my brother in laws who lives in France.
None were on time. Were herded like cattle and actually running for boarding. People fell in the melee. Assigned seating was so uncomfortable, all the padding was worn out. In Santorini there was no place to wait other than in the hot hot sun. THe air conditioned building was for all ferries. There were no signs as to which ferry was coming in next and where it was going. Workers yelling to us what the next departure was. Ridiculous !!
I would pay the price of an airline tickets next time. Too bad because the views are beautiful.

We took a total of 6 ferries, so I feel very experienced. There were so many changes to departure times, I lost track. Major changes, e.g. morning to night! Not just minutes, but hours. Also, companies were changed, ferries were changed. Once we were even boarded on the wrong ferry and rushed off just in time to get the right one. This was due to a passenger figuring out the mistake, not ship’s crew. Oh, before I forget, many passengers spent much time in the WC on our ferry from Santorini to Milos, seasick all of us. The weather was so bad, we understood many trips were cancelled after ours. Perhaps ours should have been cancelled too.

We missed the ferry in Naxos. As we were blocked by a crowd of passengers for the other ferry in gate. It is not the fault of the other passengers and ferry.
Because there is only 3 gate. Each gate is for 2 vessels at the same times. Seajet is a small ferry so that the timing of getting on the ferry is very short. Just a few minutes.
so, we hope to see more gates in port for improvement. Or remind all passengers when booking for Seajets ferries. Thanks.

[Translated from French]
We do not recommend SeaJet. We had a boat change at the last moment, the "Paros" ... a dirty boat and poorly maintained. We had no choice but to travel indoors, against a window in the sun with a broken awning.
You are parked in the garage with the cars 20 minutes before disembarkation, with drivers who start the engine at the risk of getting intoxicated. I saw children in panic as the doors took time to open, and finally to collect the fumes of the boat itself. After making two crossings with "Blue Star DELOS", we have trouble understanding how there are still boats as uncomfortable as this one and with no safety.

Ferries where abit of a disgrace, boats got changed last minute all the time, paid for business class, then when our vessel gets changed, your seat is no different then economy. To top of that, I had ppl in my seat twice, with little regard for the last or anyone onthat ship to do something about it. Boats were delayed in which my driver waiting at the port was waiting for over an hour and half. Crew had no regard about my seats and could consider ferries as a complete disgrace considering they base themselves as “voted number one fleet in Europe” for people traveling in the future, give yourself a day extra or couple of hours before any flights because there is a hi chance u will miss it. The lady at Rafina port serving out the tickets at sea jets were very rude. Yes it’s a cheaper option the flying and I would prefer to but in the only positive to save abit if money. Oh yeh not that this comment matters Becuase let’s be honest, the people on board don’t give a rats ass and the people working for sea jets about the customers opinion.

Maybe the worst travel ever
[Translated from French]
My partner and I planned to make the Paros - Milos crossing via the SeaJet initially scheduled at 18:00 for an arrival at 19:35.
The trip was clearly not as planned since we embarked with nearly 1h15 delay due to the wind that had risen, which we had not been informed beforehand.
We then made the crossing with high winds, causing some panic on the boat; some of the passengers were crying, another part was vomiting ... We even saw a member of the crew feeling sick and vomiting...
So we had to go through this journey between bad smells and disgusting noises. All this for an arrival at 21:45 in Milos, a night lost...
Paying so much for such a trip is not acceptable, and although we understand that wind is an unpredictable factor, it is inconceivable that the company will do nothing in these cases!

Terrible experience. Not only does sea Jets run late almost every single time, but they made us almost miss our flight and made others miss theirs. And their compensation was to make people wait in line to get a free ticket for another ferry ride despite most people being visitors and can't use that. Instead of returning and refunding money that was their solution. Additionally, the workers are VERY rude and although their credit card machine works, will require you to pay with your cash. Overall, terrible experience and I wouldn't suggest this company to my worst enemies.

I usually pay extra on Greek ferries to travel in comfort in the vip/club class and on other ferries that higher cost is valid. However, on this company I booked in the Club Class and THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE!! Beware, they rip off the customer charging 79 euros for the SAME seat, no service, no extra comfort, no extra space, no extra drink, and all the food was not available only basic sandwiches and chips. The air conditioning was not working properly and there’s NOWHERE to go outside for some fresh sea air. DO NOT travel on this company unless you want to be uncomfortable for a high price. Worst experience of my life
Let me share my experience with this ferry company and express my disapproval in the way that your team handled the series of events that occurred on July 17th, 2019. These events lead to my friends and I to not only miss our flight back home to the United States but leaving us stranded with nowhere to go. What began as a perfect end to a vacation in Greece ended in a horrific and traumatizing experience on your SeaJet Ferry from the port of Santorini to the Port of Piraeus in Athens. The day had already started off poorly when the scheduled 8:00am ferry had shown up to the port of Santorini 40 minutes late. Upon arrival we had noticed it wasn’t the standard size ferry we had taken prior. As the passengers on the ship started to disembark, passengers in the waiting area began to form a line to board ship. As my friends and I had our tickets collected we had asked a crew member what the estimated time of arrival would be and he had confirmed and ensured not only to us but others that the ship will arrive at 2:30pm back to Athens. The time of arrival was very crucial being that we had a flight scheduled for 5:35pm that same evening back to the United States. Emirates airline only flies out of Athens once a day and this is a flight that we had to be on. From the initial departure it had seemed we would be traveling at a rate that would get us to Athens on time but as we traveled further and further into the sea we started to notice it wasn’t going to be as smooth of a ride as we had thought. Rough waves had caused the ship to rock from side to side, the further we traveled the worse the waves got. Human bodies were being thrown all over the vessel due to the rocking and all the side to side motion had cause more than half of the passengers to vomit due to motion sickness. It had felt like my life was been in danger, passengers vomiting, children crying, luggage being tossed from one side to the other and crew members with a look of confusion and fear didn’t comfort anyone who was on that ship. As the ship went from port to port picking more passenger and unloading the ones on the boat to their final destination the circumstances on the ship never got better, only worse. Looking for reassurance we would constantly ask if we were on schedule to meet the 2:30pm scheduled arrival to port and every crew member would guarantee that the captain would get us to port on time as promised. As we traveled from port to port the smell of vomit had gotten worse, the look of fear had grown stronger and to make matters worse they had announced that the bathroom had been closed. Stuck on a rocking ship, with sick people, and closed bathroom people grew restless and with no immediate answer from any crew member we truly were stuck on the boat with no where to go. The clock had stuck 2:30pm and there was no sign of an end to the madness. We had informed crew members that we needed to catch a flight and it was crucial that we don’t miss this flight but yet again they had informed us that we would be arriving soon. The time then had struck 5:30 and still no signs of a port in sight. Finally around 6:30-7:00pm we had arrived to port in Athens with no answered as to why a scheduled 6 hour ferry ride had turned into a 10 hour catastrophe. A crew member eventually had informed us that the ship had driven around a storm but no prior announcements were made. Our names were put on a list and that SeaJet would do everything in its power to make sure we got to the airport and would help us resolve our missed flight issue with another flight. If it had been announced that it would take a longer route back to Athens we would have booked a flight from Santorini back to Athens to reassure that we would have made it on our flight, it would have been cheaper and faster to take this approach rather then being stuck on a ship.
Arriving late to the port had cost us €80.00 for a prescheduled taxi pick up which we got charged for and this was one of the many out of pocket expenses made that day. As we arrived to SeaJet offices they had informed us that the best they could have done for us was to get a free taxi ride to the airport, contrary to what was promised aboard the ship from other crew members. Even though we got a free taxi ride it was something we had to fight tooth and nail to get, it was not something they had initiated towards us it was something we had to fight to get. Once at the air port trying to catch the next flight out from Athens, the next available flight was the following day on July 18, 2019 at 5:35pm they had informed us that we would have to pay out of pocket for the flight costing us €721.00 per person. Also booking a room for the night at a local hotel had cost us €91.00 per person on top of the taxis we had to pay to get from the airport to the hotel and back to the airport again the following day. This is all additional cost to our vacation that should not have been spent if it was not for the incompetence of the captain and the SeaJet organization. We are hoping we get compensated for all the taxi rides we had paid for, the hotel stay, and for the flight we had to pay for. It is unjust that 4 individuals along with many others had to experience what had happened in that ship, and to make matters worse after a traumatizing experience, having to miss our flights and then having to pay a lot of unnecessary amenities, We had to call out of our scheduled day or work the next day almost resulting in being terminated. We were at least 4 of about 10 other passengers who missed our flight due to the ferry arriving 10 hours later and 4 hours later then the scheduled time. We feel as though we should be compensated for our missed flight.
The departure time was scheduled at approximately 8-830 am and arrival time was scheduled for 2:30pm. Once again we asked multiple employees when we would arrive and they confirmed 2:30pm. Again we were 4 of about 12 other passengers who missed our flights due to this..
At the end of the day if we were not lied to multiple times by crew members of our arrival time we could have easily just booked a flight to the island to catch our flight or even call our airline to tell them we wont make it or will be late and not have to pay a 720 dollar fee for missing our flight.. the crew members refused to give us WI FI and the bathroom were locked for 5 hours plus. One crew member wrote our names down as well and nothing was done after that.

SuperJet is very old, dirty and smelly!!!
We took Super Jet on July 11, 2019 at 5:45pm from Milos to Pireaus. The minute I boarded this boat, it looked very run down and smelled horrible. I went to bathroom and it smelled even much worse. The ride was super rough and bumpy, and I got sea sick 10 mins after my boarding. The staff on this boat locked up all the exits and nobody can go out to the deck to breathe in any fresh air, no matter how sea sick you get. The very heavy gasoline smell and the very dirty air inside the cabin plus the very bumpy ride make my husband and me throw up and vomit non-stop for the whole 4 hrs of ride to Pireaus. It was a terrible nightmare experience. Staff were very lazy. Nobody came with a waste bag to help us for the whole trip of 4hours. Worst of all, so many people were throwing up, which made the cabin smelled like hell. This so called Super Jet also felt very shaky and bumpy the whole trip. It looked vey old and lacks basic maintenance. Maybe it's time to retire this terrible boat and its rude and lazy staff!!

This company is really not advisable. The agents are not friendly, Not even talking about logistic level, the boats are really badly maintained, water flows from the ceiling during the whole trip.
Really the worst trip out of the 3 we made during our vacation in the Cyclades.

We had booked a trip from Naxos to Milos which was to last 2 hours with an arrival at 19:35 (55 euros the ticket): result we are still in the ferry and it is 22:20, we are supposed to arrive on the island around 23h. The explanation of the staff "oh yes sometimes we do not go around the islands in the same direction".
Not to mention the air conditioning inside which is too strong.
Fortunately we are staying close to the port but unfortunately, this is not the case for everyone.

We booked on Seajet from Athens to Mykonos on 5th April after boarding we find out the seat number on our tickets don't exist so we end up seating on a safety jacket box the entire trip. After compiling to the company all we got an email saying sorry to hear that!!!
Then our next trip was from Mykonos to Santorini suppose to be 2.5 hours but due to bad weather end up to be 12 hours. My wife got sick from an uncomfortable trip. After all, I emailed them for a ticket refund from Santorini to Athens as we don't want to take another risk by traveling with Seajet. No reply at all. We booked our way back to Athens with Blue Star much reliable. Maybe slower but more comfortable and safe.
Don't recommend this company to anyone.

Getting on the boat was crazy. What makes us give it a POOR experience is because you assign us seats but then let people sit anywhere. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. It caused a lot of arguing and stress for no reason. Another reason is setting times for departure and arrival and still arriving an hour late. Cancelled in the middle of the trip
The sailing itself with your company was a pleasant experience but:
Back from Paros to Raffina Due to the fear of storm, They took us down in Mykonos
Which caused us many losses because:
We could not get to Athens to our flight, which took place the next morning.
No one told us that we would not arrive at Raffina. If we knew we would choose to flight from Paros to Athens, and arrive on time for our flight.
The delay caused us many losses.
The flight back,
The hotel in Rafina at the night before the flight
Hotels for four days for staying up until the next flight
And working days due to non-return on time
At the time of downloading us from the ship in Mykonos there was no
Representative who explained to us what to do and actually
We were thrown off the ship as refugees.
It would be nice if there were an agent who speaks English
Who would explain the situation and the ship's inability to reach Raffina
That would help us to avoid losses and confusion.
Thank you any way.

Answer by Ferriesingreece.com
Dear Ayala,
We are very sorry to hear about the problems you faced due to the bad weather. We contacted Seajets who confirmed to us that you checked in normally with your tickets from Paros and that they were scheduled to complete the itinerary and therefore they had not sent us any notification that your trip would be canceled.
We had, of course, sent you an alert email on the previous day that bad weather could affect your trip but at that point, the information we had was that it would not be canceled.
Unfortunately, as Seajets informed us, the port authorities did not permit for the trip to be completed for the passengers' safety, and this is why they had to stop it in Mykonos. As this was not something that they could have known beforehand, they could not inform the passengers on time about it. As per your request, we have suggested to them to find better solutions of informing the passengers on board in such cases.

We paid for a fast ferry to get us to our destination sooner. The day before our ferry, I got a message that the time had changed, but nothing about our original ferry being cancelled, and the trip taking more than double what it was supposed to. We also were told the wrong departure time, but thank goodness we got there more than an hour early and still made our ferry. The whole experience felt very unorganized and unprofessional. I believe we also paid extra money to be on the faster ferry, which means we lost money with no offer of reimbursement. Very poor customer service.

The Superjet is closed! Very bad experience, I won’t recommend it to anyone at all.
The trip from Santorini to Mykonos was way better because we had the ability to go outside the boat.

Island ferries
Our ferry to Mykonos was great, appeared very well organized with our seats available to sit in. The trip from Mykonos to Santorini was a different story, it was mayhem getting on the ferry and our booked seats Business Class were taken. Apparently you have no rights to a seat, it’s a sit anywhere arrangement. Why have seat numbers i ask? Anyway, the ferry was either oversold or economy passengers were sitting in Business Class. We were a party of 4 and only 2 seats were available, along with others, 2 of us had to stand the entire trip on the back deck of the ferry. Not good enough! I would never use this service again, the option of flying to the islands would be preferable to me.

We would like to inform you that we are an online travel agency and not the ferry company who changed your schedule. Unfortunately, we were not informed of such change on your trip by the ferry company due to the fact that it was an exceptional change that they were not aware of in advance. After receiving your review we have contacted Seajets on your behalf and they have approved a 50% compensation for the delay that you faced due to the change in their schedule which has already been credited to your account.
Please also note that Silver Seating is the name of Economy Seating on Seajets.

The ride was comfortable enough. I would suggest taking a book or a crossword with you as there is a shared TV but you can't hear it no are you provided a way to listen to it. So overall it was fine!

Good time on board, office at the port less efficient
We've booked 2 trip: Mykonos - Santorini & Santorini - Heraklion
I get my tickets (reserved few weeks before) at the office in Mykonos. The woman was nice but inform me that both boat change (time and type of boat). it was ok, only 30min of difference each time.
Ok no problem.
Waiting at Santorini for Heraklion the initial boat came and stay at the port 30min. I had a doubt and ask again at the port office and she say no no it's this one after no ferrie is planned.
As NO DISPLAY IS AVAILABLE IN ANY PORT STATION, we could have waited a long time....
I think that the big issue of the company, nothing is indicated when you're waiting your ferrie (to announce delay or change)
After on the boat, service was nice, the seat are comfortable.

Awful - Never Again
If I could give this ferry service a zero star rating - I would. It was awful. I used the ferries for rides from Athens to Santorini, Santorini to Mykonos and then Mykonos to Athens. Firstly, the ferry we booked (Champion Jet) was nowhere to be found for our entire trip in Greece so we were given another ferry called Paros Jet. Paros Jet was a slower ferry (even though we paid for a "faster" option) and it was so unorganized and dysfunctional. Our first ferry ride took us 2 extra hours to get to Santorini, meaning it took us 7 hours to get to Santorini as opposed to the advertised 5 hours. When I asked the employees what was going on and why were being delayed so much, they couldn't give us a straight answer. Our second ferry to Mykonos was over an hour late. And our third ferry, was over an hour late and took us more time to get to our destination than advertised by almost 2 hours. The ferries messed up our entire itinerary because they delayed us and we weren't prepared for such contingencies. We lost valuable time during our visit to Greece because of these ferries. Additionally, the assigned seats that are printed on your tickets don't mean anything. It's first come, first serve and people are running and rampaging in to get in and get a good seat. It was just awful and ruined our trip to Greece. If I ever go back, I would just spend the extra money to fly from island to island.

It was fine - Reasonably efficient
The ferry was only 20 minutes late.. but the crew were very efficient and we were all onboard and in our allotted seating very quickly .. I would suggest that you bring your own food and drink as the cafe was woeful unless you wanted an alcoholic drink or potato chips ..Others have spoken about there being little difference between the two classes. I used both and would pay the extra to be upstairs in the premium seats .. there isn’t much difference in terms of fact but you are upstairs and can sort of see out the window !! For this trip we were downstairs and our seats were either side of the centre walkway so you are pretty much stuffed in a corner next to a wall and literally couldn’t get out until the ferry docked .. also not great if you have any type of seasickness .. the ferry was on time and efficient in terms of getting us from one place to another but it is not really that comfortable and if you have a vivid imagination you spend the entire trip thinking about how you will never get out if there is a catastrophe ..

Regarding the ticket service it was excellent.
As for the trip left a little to be desired, because the ferry delayed very much. We were leaving at 9:30 am from the port but finally left at 11 am. For some reason there was no boat at 9:30 am and we were moved on to the boat that was leaving at 10:30 am, however, we only left the port at 11:00 a.m. and that made the day completely lost. It took us 3 hours to reach Mykonos. Apart from that, we thought there was no stop between islands but after all there was.
I think they should be more punctual!

Thank you for your feedback.
We have just received a reply from Seajets confirming that there was a delay on the specific date that could not have been predicted as it was due to bad weather, and therefore they had not informed us accordingly in advance.
They also informed us that Following Regulation (EU) No 1177/2010 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 24 November 2010 concerning the rights of passengers when traveling by sea, you are entitled to get refunded the 50% of each ferry ticket’s price due to this delay.
Therefore we have proceeded accordingly and refunded you the amount of 57.70 Euro. This amount shall show on your account in a few working days depending on your bank.
As far as any further expenses are concerned that occurred due to this delay they informed us that they are not obliged to any refund as it is up to the passengers' own risk if they wish to book flights in such proximity to the vessels arrival or departure times.
Always at your disposal.

I booked for a family of four in club class. The booking was made several months in advance. Upon boarding the ferry company had seen fit to split up a family of four for the 3.5 hour trip. The ‘table for four’ which was part of our reservation, the other two seats were 7 rows away, had two other people sitting at it who found it highly amusing that they had obviously requested the table and the ferry company had obliged, thereby splitting a family. Please note that in case of canceled itineraries due to strike or whatever other reason they are not responsible to any further refund for additional costs that may have occurred apart from the ticket rate, which is in accordance to the general terms and conditions of all Greek Ferry companies, approved by the Hellenic Ministry of Mercantile Marine and that you accepted before proceeding to this booking: If for any reason the travel is cancelled, the fare is refunded without any further obligation of the shipping company towards the passenger.

I traveled 3 times by boat during my stay in Greece. For the company Hellenic (speed boat)everything went very well. The boats were on time and very spacious. On the othe hand, I had a very bad experience with SeaJets. We received an email yesterday stating that our boat would be leaving 5 hours late for the next day, which was a shame, but acceptable given that we had been notified in advance. However, the next day we received an email 25 minutes before the departure mentioning that the boat would leave at the first time announced. Having to be at the boat 30 minutes in advance we could not get to the port on time since from Santorini to the port we needed 25 minutes of bus to go. So we went to Nomikos Travel to get a refund and take another boat. No service was offered, they never wanted to refund us and we had to buy other boat tickets. I do not recommend Sea Jets and I do not recommend Nomikos travel.

A very unpleasant cruise
The plan was a 4.5-hour cruise from Piraeus to Santorini. We went sailing at 7:00 am We also took first class tickets, and indeed we had a first class with very comfortable armchairs such as TV armchairs and everything looked fantastical.
After about an hour and a half of boating they announced a malfunction in the engine and back to Piraeus, Piraeus waited another hour on the ferry until we moved to the second ferry and again we sailed the second ferry was slower about 7 hours sailing
On the other ferry there was no first class and we actually got a very similar place to stay in the other places on the ferry and at first hour we did not even have an air conditioner.
So a 4.5-hour cruise actually took 11.5 hours, all the food that could be bought on the ferry was milky and my wife who had an allergy to milk did not actually eat a full day.
I would not recommend boating in this company and no compensation was given to us.

That's not appropriate. SEAJET should find a way to keep passengers posted about potential delays without letting them alone... - even booking (and paying) the travel with 6 month advance, the ticked was AS EXPENSIVE AS the FLIGHT COST from Italy to Mykonos. That means I paid the fligt ticket almost the same price than the see travel. To me it is a bad point

I had two ferries. Santorini to mykonos which was little late but the informal check in was quick and fast. The officers were helpful and encouraging. Another ferry was mykonos to athens. This second ferry was 2-3hrs late. But the officer at the port for ticketing told us that u can take another ferry which was going to athens but not to the same port another port. They were accommodating due to delayed ferry. My flight from athens was late night so i wasn\'t worried. So if you plan have aome extra hours in hand if you have another flight or ferry afterwards

They changed our boat without advice, from a fast one (40 minutes) to a slow one (more then 2 hours).
We arrived late to Mykonos, luckily also the flight was late, but we found the check-in desk closed because we arrived late with the boat. I had to pay a fee of 60 euros to embarque my luggage.
So I sent an email to them saying:
"Hello, I shoud travel on Championjet2 boat yesterday, but because of a big delay you enbarqued me on Tera Jet from Naxos to Mykonos. Beacause of that I missed the check in for my flight easyjet EZY2954 and had to pay 60 Euros fee for my luggage. I think I have rights to be refund by you of this fee. Do I? Best regards
They just answer that they apologize for the problem, but they don't have to refund me for my luggage.
That's all, and they didn't answer again
That's the way they work, I suggest to avoid using seajets because people working like this deserve to fail and close the company.

The booking with ferriesingreece was great and very easy. But the service in greece is terrible, the online company ferries in greece that take money for bookings must be responsible for that. The staff at the ports are helpful but the experience is disorganised and hugley over priced. Having island hopped in many countires this is the worst experience i have had. Boats are all late - our 2nd trip was 2 hours late and you are not told that until you are at the ports that have poor facilites. You are then pushed on the boat by some of the staff as though you are the person that is late! Overpriced, poor service and not one that i would recommend

Process for booking was easy and great! When we walked on the ferry and got to our seats all you could smell was cigarettes and dismal fuel. The seats had been cleaned the previous day but were still wet when we sat. Very rough waters! Process for taking people off at each stop is very fast and they make people get up from their seats to make it to the bottom of the boat while the ferry is still moving and trying to dock. Overall, the experience was ok.

We traveled with Greek ferries 3 times. We found them comfortable although a few times the air conditioning was a bit too strong (take a jacket). The food on board is expensive and not excellent... Moreover, the ferries were every time late (minimum 45 min to 2h). We had no information on delays. Nevertheless, we found that the prices of the crossings remained correct.

Very dissatisfied. Seats allocated on the ticket were not available creating total confusion. Some seat numbers had changed with us looking to find any seat which broke up our family of five. There is a issue of safety when disembarking from the ferry with a stampede of people pushing and shoving caused by the crew demanding poeple to leave the ferry.

The ferries were nice, but if you're looking to get somewhere On time take a flight
The ferry itself is nice, but our "high speed" ferry took and extra 6 hours. It was actually cheaper to fly, but we had baggage so it ended up being a tiny bit less with taking the ferry instead. If I ever go again, I will fly. It took me 1 hour in total to get through the aiport, fly and land compared to the 8 hour ferry that was supposed to be half that time.

Not very good...
We took the super jet ferry from Athens to Mykonos, on both occasions the ferry was late and the trip took longer the expected. You can\'t control the weather but you could inform your clients when the boat is expected to arrive. In Mykonos the terminal was outside with a roof, but no shelter for the wind, no toilet and no one to inform clients of the situation. Level of service was very bad, when we get on the boat, there was no excuse or reasons mentioned why it was late by almost two hours. So people on the boat did miss theirs international flights?

Overall Very Good........BUT
We booked in the Club Level from Athens to Santorini and back. Great trip, ferries on time, and the crew was very good. The one thing that was a problem was the boarding and departing process#every man for himself. IT WAS CRAZY like hurding cattle onto a ship. They really need to get organized and have the post with ropes to get people in a line. Some kids were getting scared because of pushing. Also, what about boarding by sections? This is not rocket science.

Booked on line - no problem. They cost a little more, but you get there much faster so you have more time at your destination. You have to pick up the tickets at the port (Pireaus), which is somewhat inconvenient. They picked up on time - ran a little late due to rough seas - to be expected. The Champion Jet2 was fine - you could go outside if you chose to. The SeaJet2 is much smaller - you can't go outside. It was a rough crossing and most people were Very queasy! If you have any carsick/seasick issues - don't take this one. I wouldn't take it again, but I would take the Champion Jet2.

As this transit was not planned, I wanted to have information from the staff. Except of having clear, concise and useful advice, I managed to have nothing : \"This is not my job\", \"You need to change, do you understand?\".... This is not what I except from a tourist company.

We are disappointed with ferry service. Our ferry was Champion Jet 1, 31 July 2016 at 17.00 from Santorini (Thira) to Heraklion. So, this ferry was late for about an hour! And we had to wait for out ferry in a very little not well conditioned space without a place to seat. We felt like animals in cattle-pen. It was awful! And there was no apologies from the ferry company. So, because of ferry delay we got to our hotel on Crete only in deep night! We were extremaly exhausted. I recommend company to work hard for punctuality!

When at least we started the company announced that it will provide us with free tickets on our way back to Athens as compensation. The man on reception said I can get these free tickets in the Naxos Paros Jets office. But at Naxos they refused to help me and said that I have to go back to Athens Piraeus!!! to get free tickets !!!from Naxos to Athens!!! I would suggest normal ferries (blue star) for any traveller, and if you are in a hurry maybe you can afford an airplane rather than a ferry that can delay without information

All of our travel was on Seajet II.
First, just a general comment regarding the ticketing process. Rather than have to pick up a physical ticket at the ferry office after booking on-line, there should be a process to either mail the tickets or allow you to print out a ticket from home.
We booked a multi-leg trip and were disappointed to find out that the first leg of our trip was rescheduled to leave an hour later than originally booked. Granted, it was updated on the physical ticket, but we had no reason to believe it was different from our originally booked itinerary. Again, it would have been helpful to be notified in advance of the schedule change.
The crew was rather disorganized when it came to disembarking. We were instructed to disembark from the rear of the ship; however, before we could make our way down the gangplank, they were already allowing other passengers to board. This created quite a frenzy as we were attempting to disembark since the gangplank was not wide enough for two way traffic.
Lastly, due to it being the busy season for travel in the Greek Islands, there was luggage piled up everywhere from the rear outside deck to the passenger cabins. This can make it very difficult to move around the ship (e.g. when disembarking). Incredibly, the crew does somehow manage to keep track of the luggage.
Once underway, the journey was fine. Thank goodness you do have a pre-assigned seat, otherwise there would be total chaos.

When we left Aten for Ios we went away on a boat (Sea Jets Champion JET1) with a big killer whale on the side, the boat didn't run well at all in the water and the exhausts where horrific!!! I tell you horrific! Tons of carbon dioxide and uncleaned exhaust must come out of the terrible ship-wreck everyday! I truly hope you´ll scrap that boat soon. It's a shame such environmentally-polluting-ships still are allowed to run in the Mediterranean sea. And on top of this the boat was several hours late…and the trip was not very comfortable in any way.
BUT on our way back to Aten I road on a fantasticly beautiful and clean big green ship (Hellenic Seaways Highspeed 6) with a nicely working catalyst and descent engine exhausts. The return trip was on schedule and the service on board was really nice!
So I truly recommend the green Highspeed-boats and hope no one ever will have to ride on the horrible Champion Jet1!

The Seajet 2 ferries appear old and overdue for replacement, the comfort level on these cannot be compared to that of the bigger vessels such as the Champion or Megajet.
The loading and unloading process is chaotic on the Seajet 2 and for all out trips Pireaus, Milos, Santorini, Mykonos the ferry was delayed with no announcements or advice on when it would be arriving. All were delayed by over an hour sometimes more. A simple electronic signboard at the ferry wharf with updated information would go along way.
However our experience on the Champion Jet was much nicer. The ferry is much bigger, loading and unloading is more organised as you wheel your bags into the ferry via the car loading bay and store bags inside the ferry in racks (not outside where they can get wet as on there Seajet 2).
I would not use the Seajet 2 again but would use the bigger boats for any future travel.

Last time I used it they was late for a hour and a half only for boarding time. Awful. I've missed my boarding on aircraft even though I had had 1 hour difference between arrival & departure at the almost same place (5 min on taxi). If you want to be in time somewhere - use other way to travel.

New ferry, very spacious, very clean, friendly & polite crew. We left the luggage in the very spacious hold. We arrived 30 minutes late (as usually!). I recommend this trip with this ferry!!
12/07/2015 9:50h - We left Milos at 11:15h !!!! Ferry SEAJET2 From Milos To Mykonos. Very dirty, very old ferry with very small windows The ferry was full to bursting, we had to leave our luggage in the middle of a hallway, blocking exit doors and corridors where people had to go in an emergency!! Very dangerous!! The nasty crew only had time to make the lot of people enter and leave the ferry in a hurry, and did not report where we should sit. Extremely small for so many, many people and a trip of five hours, no one picked up the bottles and papers that left people between ports, ferry had suitcases blocking emergency doors, really dangerous. I have photos! We arrived to Mykonos two hours late!!! Total trip = 6 hours!!!
Never again I will do a trip on a Greek ferry if I do not first know the type of ferry where I have to go!!!!!! Of course, I do not recommend anyone to do this trip, It was awful !!!!!

My personal booking was for 5 people, but we were a group of 15 people, who booked through various websites. I booked "fast" boats, but got the service of a slow boat! The trip from Pireaus to Milos took an extra hour, the trip from Milos to Thira was ENDLESS, we are talking at least 3 extra hours, and same goes from Thira back to Pireaus.
Our entire group was so disappointed, we lost 2 nights because of Seajets. I will NEVER book with them again. On the way back from Santorini to Athens, not only was there a 2 hour delay, but we got there at almost 3 in the morning instead of 10:30 pm. This is UNACCEPTABLE. On top of it, at midnight, they turned on the TV really really loud because of the political debates that were going on. I understand that this is an important issue, but your boat was full of tourists, and the majority of people were sleeping, Greek or not. They woke up all the infants, and had no regards for the fact that it was so late, and that the trip was taking forever.
Better off taking a plane than Seajets is all I have to say! Especially for the charged price!

I couldn't find my ticket in my bag and the staff member kept saying come on come on hurry up. Then if that wasn't bad enough our bags were chucked about and just left on the outside the door of the ferry very unsecure. Then on the way back our ferry was running over two hours late and we were going to miss our flight unless we got an early one. We asked the ticket office if we could exchange ours for the ferry which was next to arrive which was in fact a ferry that was due after our ferry and they said no they are a different company when they weren't so we had to buy 2 extra tickets because of there ridiculous delays otherwise we would of missed our flights. Very disappointing that both the ferries were running late and the service of staff was awful.

We paid more for club class tickets and not only were my partner and I not sitting together but the seats and facilities were exactly the same as the other class, the only difference was that we were upstairs and the section was roped off so we couldn't wonder the boat if we wanted to - DO NOT opt for club class if considering. Finally, our journey took a total of 8 hours, 3 hours longer than it was supposed to even though we left on time. clearly Seajets are not as fast as they say they are. Also staff were not friendly and wouldnt let us sit in other seats together even though there was hardly anyone else on board.

The journeys were comfortable and the boats stable even in choppy seas and windy conditions. My only complaint is that all the ferries were at least one hour late arriving and there is no way of finding out beforehand when the ferry will arrive. This means getting to the port and having to wait, which is frustrating.

There was no announcement for the delay, the reason or a money back or anything. We, and some other passengers that lost their flights, visited the central office of the company to complain. They offered us half the price refund after so so much complain and arguments. People that lost flights to France had to buy a new ticket by their own money. They advertise and sell something they don't have. This company is not just unreliable, they are thieves and liars. It's just a matter of time they close

After 2 terrible experiences on separate ferries, I wrote an email to SeaJets so they were well informed of how terrible their service was in hopes that they could remedy the situation for a very upset customer. The email is below for you to read, but what is missing is a response. That is because SeaJets never responded. So not only do they treat their passengers on board unjustly with ferries that run HOURS late, but they do not have the sense to respond to emails providing feedback and next steps.
As for the email:
Sea Jets, I recently took the speed ferry Champion Jet 1 from Naxos to Santorini on 20/6/2015. The boat arrived 2 hours late and got us to our destination over 3 hours after the anticipated time. This caused me and my fiance to be late for our check-in at our hotel and did not allow us to do the activities we had planned in advance for our vacation in Santorini. I was disheartened that no measures were made to compensate your paying passengers on this trip. Nonetheless, I was confident that my next trip on one of your vessels would not have a similar experience. However, today (22/6/2015) I rode the Master Jet from Santorini to Athens and yet again your ship was over 70 minutes late upon arrival. I am reaching out to you so that you can turn this dissatisfied customer into a happy one. I look forward to hearing back from your company and am hopeful that you will reimburse me and my fiance for our trips. We look forward to your response.

We travelled with Sea Jets from Athens to Santorini on the 1st of June 2015, and back again on the 4th of June. We booked and paid for a high-speed ferry. On the ticket it stated the duration of each leg. The leg from Athens to Santorini was supposed to take 4h30min, and the leg from Santorini to Athens 5 hours. However, it took us almost 8 hours to reach Santorini, and when we travelled back to Athens, it took us about 7 hours. On the trip to Santorini, we were told that there was a problem with one of the engines and that we could have a complimentary soda or coffee. However, when asking for a soda, we were told that we could only have coffee. On the way back to Athens, no explanation was given as to why the journey was taking so long. The same happened to friends of ours who travelled on different dates in June. We also met people on the ferry who said that they were warned by friends not to use Sea Jet, as the same happened to them. This is really unfair, as the tickets for high-speed ferries are more expensive, yet it took the same time as a normal ferry. It seems like this is an on going problem, according to Greeks as well. I will not recommend booking with Sea Jets.

The on-board experience of the vessel is fine. However, every ferry we took: Athens to Mykonos, Mykonos to Naxos, and Naxos to Santorini, was very late. With respect to the Mykonos and Naxos departures, the ferry was more than 2 hours late. This is clearly unacceptable. The company also doesn't alert you to these delays ahead of time which would mitigate the inconvenience and discomfort of waiting at the port with no services and limited seating. At Mykonos, they also didn't mention that the ferry departs from a different location than where it drops off when you first arrive. We were lucky to discover this by ourselves with enough time to make it to the correct departure point. Ferries in Greece sorely needs to improve its reliability, and its communication until that time. Email alerts/notifications to its customers would be a huge improvement. In short, if you choose to travel with this ferry service, don't make plans at your destination that day as they will likely be disrupted by delays.
Answer from FerriesinGreece.com
Hello,
We are really sorry to hear about your bad experience with Seajets. Unfortunately we were not notified by them about these delays and thus we were not able to inform you as well. As per Seajets information, they sent you an sms to inform you and in such case they do not inform the issuing agency, meaning Ferriesingreece.com. This happens usually when the delay is caused due to weather or other mechanical unexpected issues which could not be beforehand predicted by the ferry company. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

The journey was not good (Rafina - Thira 28.08.14, 15.45 departure from Rafina). First the vessel was an hour late to start, plus the journey lasted 9 hours instead of 6,5! The return journey (Thira - Piraeus 06.09.14, 14.30 departure from Thira) was even worse because it was more than 2 hours late to Athens and we hardly caught the plane to Moscow! Plus we had tickets to the 1st class and the conditioner chilled the air there so intensively that we had to go to the 2nd class (though we asked the several times to lessen the conditioner), it was around 10 degrees there (after 30 outside!), we caught a severe cold after that journey!

Our ferry from Mykonos to Santorini arrived over an hour late -- an hour which was spent stressfully, trying to determine whether we were in fact at the right location to catch the ferry (there are multiple boarding locations at Mykonos and they are signposted, but not in the way one is used to). The ferry returning us from Santorini to Mykonos the same day arrived over two hours late, which scuppered our evening plans in Mykonos. The ferries themselves (the vessels) need serious investment. The seating is old, the toilets are filthy. Really third-world service.

Buyer Beware of your safety onboard a closed cabinsaid on2014-09-10
I traveled on the Master Jet from Mykonos to Piraeus this past August, 2014.
There must not be an governing entity for the safety of the passengers. If
there is a safety organization, this company needs to be reported. I will follow
up with this matter. Over 20 of us adults, from different countries complained
to the staff that there were approximately 20 French teenagers, yelling, screaming,
jumping on seats and using vulgar language. The crew spoke to them and asked
them to seperate and the teenagers won the battle. The crew did nothing to control or deflate
the situation for the benefit of all passengers. The teenagers used vulgar language &
flipped off the passengers & crew. We had assigned seats in a closed cabin & there were
no other seats to move to. I asked the 2 male crew members who was in charge? If they cannot control teenagers what would they do in an emergency? The 3 men & 1 female crew were passive
and behaved in a meek & weak manner. The crew had no spine, which showed all of us that
if we needed them in an emergency, they were worthless. I work for FAA & this lack of safety,
control & respect would not ever be tolerated in the U.S. I guess that is why we live in America.

Travelled with Masterjet from Mykonos to Athens and it ended up being the worst ferry trip I have ever taken by a longshot. The trip took almost two hours longer than it should have, making a 7 hour trip almost 9 hours from Mykonos to Athens. Also the AC was broken so it was almost unbearable inside, to the point where half the passengers were outside on the deck. When I checked the thermostat it was at 31 degrees celsius inside and not much was done about it. It was so terrible that when we got off, a news crew was outside waiting to interview passengers about the trip. Would recommend ANY ferry company over this one.

Grossly incompetent-this is the best way I can describe the Seajets/Masterjet/Megajet operation for transfers from port to port. My fiancé and I decided to book two ferry trips with this company for our journeys from Santorini to Naxos and later, Naxos to Athens. This was a huge mistake. Firstly, our boat from Santorini to Naxos was over 1 hour late to arrive at the terminal. No announcements were made during the wait period. When the boat finally arrived one of the staff informed us as we were boarding that the boat was experiencing engine difficulty and would only be able to cruise on low speed- there was no offer for discount after we paid extra fare for the 'fast ferry'. Once boarded, there was mass confusion about seating arrangements - it was a free-for-all inside. Then, the boat sat at port for another 50 minutes. Again, no announcements made as to how the delay was to impact passengers and no apology was made.
Because we were traveling to another island and were not on a tight deadline this was ok -we have been traveling Europe for 3 months and have a lot of patience for delays.
By far the worst experience we had with seajet/Master jet/mega jet was on our journey from Naxos to Athens (Piraeus). We were initially told when we picked up our tickets that our ferry would change from master jet to mega jet brand and would be arriving 40minutes late (I guess the boat we took on out last journey 5 days prior was still out of action).
We were ok with the delay and informed our air bnb host of the change. But we ended up waiting another hour in addition to the 40min delay! We were finally on board at 6:30pm
Once we boarded there was chaos with the seating arrangements and rude, unhelpful staff members who seemed unable to give paying customers the time of day roaming around not assisting anyone.
The most excruciating aspect of this journey was the inability for Sj/Mj staff to set customer expectations.
We were told only once on the loudspeaker that our boat would arrive at Athens port at 11:15pm (we were scheduled to arrive at 9pm with aforementioned delay). There was no explanation as to why the boat was running slower.
By 11:45pm we started to get very concerned about the arrival time in port, we were supposed to meet our host hours before with no way of communicating with them.
We went to the customer service desk to ask for help (the queue was huge)- there were people who were missing flights and other transportation because of the delays. I guess we were lucky in that respect but we still wanted an update on arrival time which no one seemed to know.
We finally were told that public transport/metro closed at midnight so we would need to take a taxi to our apt adding another 20 euro to our day. (It's also good to note that because the cruising and waiting times were so long we had to eat crappy and somewhat pricey food served on the boat-another expense).
The service rep was discretely promising people taxi vouchers as an apology and we were told that we would receive one but that we were not to tell other passengers. I found this very disconcerting.
When the boat finally docked at 1:00am, we did as instructed and went to find our voucher.
Well this was too good to be true of course. We were passed from a customer service rep, to the officers to various staff members only to be told that they did not know what we were talking about and that they weren't going to help. We were actually told to 'go away.'
We stood in a massive queue waiting for taxis amongst the chaos. When it was all said and done, we didn't get to meet our host until 2:15am.
To sum up this long review, these people are crooks and have no regard for their customers as a whole. If you find it acceptable for a customer service rep to visibly roll their eyes at you then by all means, take this ferry.
If you have a choice when it comes to ferries please consider our experience especially if you need to make connections to other transport. The blue star ferry beat us to port on both occasions.
Seajets/master jets/ mega jet if you care about your business and your reputation I think you need to consider communications training for your staff- setting customer expectations up front goes a long way!
Perhaps you may want to also look at your time table and take into account your lack of staff, lack of preventative maintenance, and sea conditions when selling a service you can't provide. In my opinion, this business would not survive outside of the EU. Normally I don't write reviews but I felt compelled to post this one to save fellow travelers from this nightmare.

Having to book the same ferry company for all legs of your trip or else you had to submit each one separately. I booked Pireaus-Santorini-Mykonos-Rafina all on SeaJet because they had the shortest time between ports and prices were reasonable. It all started on the first leg. Departure time had passed until someone came and said the SeaJet was not working and to check with the kiosk for new ferry info. It was very confusing. No one had a straight answer. Finally figured it out and boarded Master Jet. The two and half hour ferry to Santorini became 4 1/2 because of it. Granted it is a comfortable ride, but because the ferry changed, our seat assignments were no longer the same, so with each stop (2) and new passengers, it was like playing musical chairs.
Santorini - Mykonos was no different. Delayed and ferry change. More frustration. Mykonos-Rafina If I had not asked someone if we were in the right area, we would have missed the ferry as it was leaving from a different port at yet another delayed departure! Had to pay for our own bus fare from Old port to New port. All in all SeaJet company was very disappointing. I would only hope the other ferry companies are more reliable as I would like to come back to Greece and will definitely NOT be taking SeaJet again!

We took the ferry from Thira (Santorini) to Piraeus (Athens). The ferry was scheduled for 14:30 and we were at the port with enough time to get our tickets and board. It was not until I got my tickets that we learnt the ferry had been delayed. We did not board the ferry until after 16:00 and after further delays on the journey rather than arriving at 20:35, we arrived at 00:15 on July 2nd.
While on board, a sea jets representative stamped our tickets and we were told to go back to the port the following morning to receiving a free future booking. We were not able to take advantage of this as we were returning to Athens for our flight home to Canada at 08:45 on July 2nd.
Also, because the ferry arrived so late, we were not able to check into the hotel that we had booked for the evening of July 1st and were charged for that booking anyways. Nowhere to sleep that night because of the day and we were offered a free ferry ticket that we couldn't use. I would not recommend using them again.

He represents your company with high standing and I will never forget his generosity. Please let him know that Barbara, Irene, Sadie, and Louie will surely never forget him. Sincerely,

The Seajet trip to Milos was good. Friendly staff. Only the ticket booth in Piraeus was not properly indicated in my booking information. I walked to Gate E8, as it was said in my confirmation, instead it was much closer to Gate E9. At 6 in the morning with two heavy suitcases not very amusing... The information about changed departure times for the return trip via SMS and mail is good.

We took a Seajets ferry from Mykonos to Santorini. We were supposed to depart at 2:45pm. However, we ended up departing probably around 4:30pm as the ferry arrived very late. During this time, the agent in the travel office at the port wasn't able to give us a reliable time as to when the ferry would arrive so everyone just stood around waiting.
The staff on board is obviously stressed out and tried their best to get everyone on the ship in an orderly manner. The ride was fairly smooth, and I didn't notice anyone getting motion sickness. For entertainment, they play a "ripped" file of some nature DVD/blu-ray.
For the price that they charge, you would hope that they included wifi, or were more punctual. I recommend that you take another ferry company, or even airplane between the islands instead.

I cannot recommend spring travel by fast ferry between Mykonos and Santorini. I later learned this is an especially choppy route, making the journey two-and-a-half hours of torture. The first-class cabin attendant was plenty busy passing out and collecting motion sickness bags. There were other problems: boarding was chaotic, stowing luggage was haphazard and inefficient, the crew was understaffed, passengers grabbed first-class seats for which they did not pay and no one checked tickets, and disembarkation was dangerous because of the turbulence of the sea. I am an operations manager for a travel company in Puerto Rico. This stomach-churning, expensive mode of transportation, if longer than 45 minutes, is not recommended and was my only disappointment while in Greece for three weeks. Flying is the better option instead of using this ferry company.

We took Sea Jets from Rafina to Mykonos and Mykonos to Santorini. Overall that experience was mediocre. Nothing awful but there was no one to help people find their seats which had numbering that was not obvious so there were a lot of confused people wandering around trying to locate their seats. The ferry from Mykonos to Santorini was an hour late.
We also went on Sea Jets from Santorini to Crete. That was truly awful. The boat was late so they just wanted to get everyone on as quickly as possible so just let everyone run on in a free-for-all. On the car deck everyone was falling all over one another to try to find a place in the luggage racks and to put their luggage there. There was no staff to be seen. When we arrived at the passenger level we were told to forget our seat numbers and to just sit anywhere. There was no assistance or crowd control when it came time to get off. Just a huge mob of people trying to press through one tiny door on either side. Sea Jets is a company to be avoided.

The Sea Jets company does not respect the professional standards. They changed all of their ferries schedule during the month of July (high season) and informed me of further changes the day I reached Greece. My departure schedule had been changed and I risked losing my plane because of their changes. Furthermore, the Mykonos ferry which is supposed to leave at 7.10 pm has ALWAYS at least an hour delay, which is totally unacceptable for a country which lives of tourism. I definitively suggest tourists to seek for alternatives in this case.

I have just finished my holidays in Greece, where I took different ferries to visit the Cyclads. My trip from Naxos to Mykonos was a nightmare. It is true that the strong wind do not helped the already uncomfortable situation due to an overbooking, which left a lot of people without seat. Many people were sick and standing everywhere, no possible to go to the toilet because the luggage was located in the corridors. Once in Mykonos, the getting off was a mess. Nobody could find his baggage, the exits were blocked by people looking for them ... I wonder if the security laws are respected in Greece (the same I should say about the bus from Fira to Oia, in Santorini, which takes more passengers than permitted).
The catamaran is really the worse kind of boat one can take if the sea is rough. And, above all, I don't recommend those of this company.

On May 21 we had 2 tickets for the superjet from Myconos to Ios . Due a technical problem the boat was cancelled and the agency in Myconos could not guarantee seats on the boat the next day. She told us that we could get refund in all travel agencies on all islands. We took then a boat named Alexander to Naxos and paid 50 euro for 2 tickets. On arriving in Naxos it was announced that the problem with the superjet was fixed and that we could go immediately further to Ios. In Ios I went to local travel agency and they told me that they cannot refund because the second part of the ticket was removed by seajet personnel. I have now paid 50 euro extra to get from Myconos to Ios and i would like to get this back and also a compensation for a delay of 5 hours. I have send already 10 e-mails to Sea Jets and made a phone call, but the only answer I get is that I have to be patient.

DO NOT USE THIS FERRY COMPANY!!
Our entire experience with this company was a disaster, to say the least. Choose any company BUT this one, we have used Blue Star and Hellenic Seaways and they are all fine, but this company is absolutely terrible!
First of all, the ship was late by over an hour. It was scheduled to LEAVE at 5:45, but it didn't even show up until almost 7:00!
Getting on the ship was even worse. The ship was far too small to fit the amount of people in. They grabbed my mother by under her arm and tried to pull her in a direction away from us, we had to scream at them that she was with us! They were pushing and shoving everyone onto this tiny ship, with suitcases and bags just being thrown into any available space, crowding the aisles and people tripping over them. At one point, one of the impatient and rude workers tried to pull my little 9 year old brother away from us to keep the line moving, and I had to grab his arm to prevent him from getting lost in the crowd!!
By the time we reached our "assigned" seats, there were other people in them! Apparently, no one was sitting in the seats that had been assigned to them and said that it was a "free-for-all". We were obviously very upset at this point, but when we informed a worker that these people were sitting in the seats that we had PAID for, they said that everyone was just sitting wherever a seat was available. But there were no seats left, so we were forced to just sit in the middle of the freaking aisle!!!!
As the ship took off, they told us we had to sit somewhere since it was a safety hazard, even though there were no seats left!! There were suitcases filling all the aisles, and people without seats everywhere, how is that safe?!
The employees of this company are completely unprofessional, rude, get physical with people (grabbing my mother at one point and leaving marks on her arm and trying to pull my little brother), and the journey itself is extremely uncomfortable and dangerous.
Do not be fooled by them, we paid to have seats to SIT in, not an aisle full of suitcases to STAND in and be scolded at by rude employees for not having a sit to sit in!
There are plenty of other ferries that are fast and reliable, and with employees that give you at least a decent level of respect. This company is completely terrible in every way that you can possibly imagine. I warn you again, DO NOT USE SEA JETS.

We 'travelled' with Seajet from Mykonos to Piraeus on June 3 2013. We had a most unpleasant experience, especially if you consider that Seajet is double the price of an 'ordinary' ship (52 instead of 25-34 euro).
Specifically:
1. The ship arrived in Mykonos nearly one hour late (1620 instead of 1535).
2. Our baggage was literally thrown on the back of ship, out in the open, exposed to potential rain or waves. Nobody was guarding it, during the trip and especially during arrival at Piraeus! Lucky we didn't lose anything!
3. Nobody was giving instructions on entry to passenger compartment. We looked for our seats and we cannot find. After some time we managed to find somebody to tell us that our seats were on top, we went like half a ship around to find them. The whole boarding seemed like chaos, nobody was controlling anything, for example we found some woman seating in one of our seats and also at arrival in Syros, another woman tried to take one of our seats.
4. There was no permanent staff manning the top bar, you had to wait for somebody to come for some time.
5. The top toilets were simply disgusting, full of urine, smelling horribly, worse than any ship toilet I have ever traveled. Obviously there was nobody cleaning them during the trip. SHAME!
6. The whole experience was uncomfortable, too much turbulence, although conditions were nearly ideal with little wind. The seats were not very comfortable and every empty space was full with baggage, restricting movement, and presenting a potential danger in case of any adverse weather. Also, for the last 15 mins of the trip, since they announced that we approached our destination, half the passengers were standing, although the announcement send the opposite and no crew member said anything. What could have happened if the ship had to make a maneuver at that time, how many people will be injured ?
7. The ship arrived at Pireaus 1 hour late, 1950 instead of the advertised 1850. I inquired one of the crew, like others, as to the reason of the delay and received a vague answer about scheduling at ports. When I further asked why then you don't inform us before booking or at least informing us during the trip and at least apologizing, received no answer. To further add to this, their own sheduling document, retrieved from their own web site one day later, still states the wrong times!
To put this into perspective, on our way to Mykonos we took one of the so called 'slow' ships which left exactly on time and arrived exactly 10 mins late. We had ample space and a table to use, even slept for an hour, since we had 2 seats each and there was minimum turbulence.
The bar was open always, our baggage was safe and protected by crew at the bottom of the ship or with us. The icing of the cake was that from Rafina, the 'slow' ship took only 5.5 hours, instead of the 4 hours of the 'Sea jet'. The actual travelling time of the 'Sea jet' was of course only 3 hours but we had to be in the port since 1500, so in my opinion the delay should be included in the travelling time.
Obviously I would never use the 'Sea jet' again and I would be very sceptical of any such 'fast' ship. It is clear that many things should improve in all Greek ships (I am a native and proud Greek) but 'Sea jet' seems to deliver a bad experience, much worse than 'ordinary' ships, especially if you consider that is double the price of other ships.

Asking for an explanation the staff couldn't tell me anything but that that was their schedule. they were very impolite and rude even laughing with my question.

We booked the most expensive tickets( the fastest vessel) to be able to enjoy to the maximum our 2 days trip in Naxos ( from Mykonos) as it was supposed to bring us early afternoon in town ,whereas, once we collected the tickets at the harbour we found out that the departure time was not what we booked thru the website( for both trips). Totally dishonest for the price required
Moreover the boat was also more than 1h late and no one was able to tell us why and at what time it should arrive. We've been told to wait and almost " shut up" by an unfriendly groundstaff
We had lost half a day due to Sea jet ferries...

I heard MANY passenger complaints throughout the ride.
