Sea Jets

Sea Jets is a joint venture of speedboats founded in 1989. Its fleet consists mainly of catamarans that connect the main ports of Athens and Crete with the Cyclades islands.

Offering fast transfer between the islands is the main goal of Sea Jets company as well as providing frequent daily connections between them in order to satisfy the permanent residents and visitors.

Policy of the company

Passengers Ticket Conditions

Approved by the Hellenic Ministry of Mercantile Marine
The ticket is issued in the passengers name, is personal and non-transferable. It is valid only for the class and the trip for which it was issued.
The fare does not include catering.
Passengers should be at the embarkation area of the ship 45 min before departure. If the passenger is not in time for sailing, he/she is not entitled to a refund of the fare. In case of cancellation, passengers are entitled 50% refund if they cancel their reservation before departure.
Infant is not available as a passenger type for Sea Jets. Therefore you do not need to issue infant tickets for this ferry company. The infant aged between 0 and 2 years old travels on the same seat with a parent. However, you have to inform the staff at the port kiosk of the ferry company before departure that you will be traveling with an infant. If you wish to have a separate seat for your infant, you need to book a child ticket. Children from 3 years and up to 10 years old pay the reduced child fare.
The bearer of a full ticket is allowed to carry free of charge luggage up to 40 kilos or 1 cubic meter.
In case of loss of the ticket, it will not be replaced nor the fare will be refunded. The shipping company is not responsible for any damage or loss of the passengers luggage that is under the personal care of him/her during the trip.
Jewellery, money and valuable objects may be delivered to the ships accounting office for safekeeping.
The shipping company will not be responsible for any delay in sailing, deviation and not keeping normal route, due to bad weather conditions or orders of the Ministry of Mercantile Marine or the Harbor Authorities or due to force major.
It is forbidden to the passengers to carry explosives, inflammable, incendiary and dangerous in general materials.
The passengers are responsible for the observance of the Harbor, Sanitary and Custom regulations. The passengers should comply with the captains and the crew orders regarding the maintenance of order and the safety of the ship.
The passenger should address any complaint during the trip to the ships captain or first mate and after the arrival, to the shipping company or to the Harbor Authorities.
If for any reason the travel is cancelled due to the ships responsibility, the fare is refunded without any further obligation of the shipping company towards the passenger.
The shipping company has the right, after approval of the Ministry of Mercantile Marine, to replace the vessel for which the ticket was issued with another vessel.

Vehicle Transport Receipt Conditions

Approved by the Hellenic Ministry of Mercantile Marine
The drivers are obligated to load and unload their vehicle.
The vehicles should be at the waiting for shipment area one (1) hour before departure and in any case on the time prescribed by the Port Regulation in force.
The driver is not entitled to refund of the fare if he is not in time for sailing, while if he states before sailing his intention not to ship his vehicle, he is entitled to a refund of half of the fare.
In case of loss of vehicle transport receipt, the fare is not refunded.
The vehicles passengers have to get out of them before their shipment aboard.
The passengers should carry with them objects that they need during the travel. After sailing the entrance to the vehicle station is forbidden.
The transportation of explosives, incendiary and dangerous in general materials is forbidden. The priority order is determined by the Port Regulations of each Harbor Authorities, where the vehicles are shipped.

Cancellation Policy:

- Tickets cancelled up to 14 days before departure are 100% refundable.
- Tickets cancelled up to 7 days before departure are 75% refundable.
- Tickets cancelled up to 12 hours before departure are 50% refundable.
- If the cancellation is made less than 12 hours before departure, the tickets are not refundable at all.
- Tickets can be turned to open date tickets at least 24 hours before departure. Open tickets are valid for 1 year and they cannot be cancelled. They can change to tickets of any other date in any other route, upon availability but only once. Difference in rates is not refunded.
- In case of losing the tickets, passengers must inform the company at least 1 hour before the ferry departure.

  • I was very disappointed with the SeaJet I ferry from Mykonos to Santorini. The ferry was late and the boarding was done so quickly that by the time we realized which ferry it was it was leaving. There was no warning that the ship was leaving and when we asked to switch our tickets to the next ship we were told we had to purchase a brand new ticket. I must say I was very disappointed, we were there well in advance of the ship leaving, it was not at the dock it said it would be at and delayed and then to not communicate to us the new dock and how quickly it would depart.

  • Sea Jets may be a fine company but we had a terrible experience on one of their ferries. We rode a smaller ferry, the SeaJet2 vessel on a windy night and the ferry departed much later than expected, took much longer than expected, and was rocking like crazy. We were all quite sea-sick and very uncomfortable. I recommend checking which vessel you will be riding and only going with the large ones.

  • We with my husband swam on your ferry on the island of Santorini on August 27 there and back. Back the ferry was delayed for 2 hours. We waited for it in port at a temperature of 30 degrees. Are very disappointed. We were not informed in advance that the ferry will be delayed.

  • My comment refers to the trip Mykonos_ Koufunissi and return last Aug 2017. I travelled with SEAJET2 In general all was OK, except: - at Mykonos Old Port, being the vessel in delay by 1,5 hour, no-one informed the passengers about the delay, we were all waiting without information. That's not appropriate. SEAJET should find a way to keep passengers posted about potential delays without letting them alone... - even booking (and paying) the travel with 6 month advance, the ticked was AS EXPENSIVE AS the FLIGHT COST from Italy to Mykonos. That means I paid the fligt ticket almost the same price than the see travel. To me it is a bad point

  • I had two ferries. Santorini to mykonos which was little late but the informal check in was quick and fast. The officers were helpful and encouraging. Another ferry was mykonos to athens. This second ferry was 2-3hrs late. But the officer at the port for ticketing told us that u can take another ferry which was going to athens but not to the same port another port. They were accommodating due to delayed ferry. My flight from athens was late night so i wasn\'t worried. So if you plan have aome extra hours in hand if you have another flight or ferry afterwards

  • The ferry company was horrible. Champion Jet had several hour of delays and reported issues with their engines. Definitely stay away.

  • They changed our boat without advice, from a fast one (40 minutes) to a slow one (more then 2 hours). We arrived late to Mykonos, luckily also the flight was late, but we found the check-in desk closed because we arrived late with the boat. I had to pay a fee of 60 euros to embarque my luggage. So I sent an email to them saying: "Hello, I shoud travel on Championjet2 boat yesterday, but because of a big delay you enbarqued me on Tera Jet from Naxos to Mykonos. Beacause of that I missed the check in for my flight easyjet EZY2954 and had to pay 60 Euros fee for my luggage. I think I have rights to be refund by you of this fee. Do I? Best regards They just answer that they apologize for the problem, but they don't have to refund me for my luggage.   • The booking with ferriesingreece was great and very easy. But the service in greece is terrible, the online company ferries in greece that take money for bookings must be responsible for that. The staff at the ports are helpful but the experience is disorganised and hugley over priced. Having island hopped in many countires this is the worst experience i have had. Boats are all late - our 2nd trip was 2 hours late and you are not told that until you are at the ports that have poor facilites. You are then pushed on the boat by some of the staff as though you are the person that is late! Overpriced, poor service and not one that i would recommend
