    Please note that when an itinerary is cancelled by the port authorities for your safety, the ferry companies inform you directly by SMS to save time, so we were not informed of this problem.
    We are pleased that you were able to change your tickets on the spot in time to depart on another Dodekanisos Seaways trip the same morning, even if this caused you additional stress. Regarding the 3 euro fee you were charged for changing at the local office, please note that it is legal if they provided you with the corresponding receipt.

    We rode the Blue Star Delos from Naxos to Santorini in early May. Booking online was easy, as was getting the boarding pass for our mobile phones on the day prior to travelling. No need to find a ticket agent. The ferry arrived and departed on time. The Delos is very comfortable inside, with assigned airline seats, but many lounge areas as well and good food options for purchase. A very comfortable experience.

    We booked all our ferries for our Greek island trip through FerriesinGreece.com and it honestly made everything so much easier. The site is clear, simple to use, and had all the routes we needed in one place — no jumping between different ferry company websites.

    The website is easy to use and book trips. Check-in reminders are helpful and easy to use and check-in.
    The only issue is when the sailing is cancelled. Notification may just mention the sailing cancellation without other info or when sailing will resume and what options we may have.

    We would like to inform you that your trip was cancelled due to bad weather, in such cases this is a decision taken by the port authorities, just a few hours before the trip departure time for your safety. At that point, we are not aware when the weather will improve and which ferries will be permitted to depart and when, so this is the reason we could not give you alternative trips at that point. As we can see, you have already been fully refunded for your affected trip from Amorgos to Santorini as per your request.

  • Buy directly from the ferry company, not here.

    Buying a ticket from this company is easy but they don't tell you upfront that you MUST check in on the web MORE THAN TWO HOURS BEFORE the ferry leaves. If you fail to check in, you must go to the ferry office to get paper tickets. Unfortunately, there are at least three offices listed for the company and it's unclear which one will be open. On the day I had to do this, one office was closed, the other was the wrong place, and the third was far away and no one could promise it would be open either. You could easily miss your ferry if you use this service and forget to check in.

    However, if you buy directly from the ferry company, you can check in anytime. Save yourself a lot of stress.

    Moreover, we sent you an alert email 2 days before your departure date to remind you of this.

    Concerning the multiple offices that you mentioned, as we can see, we state only 2 offices in your booking confirmation. One is the port kiosk exactly opposite your departure point which is always open before the departure of a Blue Star ferries vessel in order to serve the passengers and the other one, Gelasakis travel which is about 400 meters from your ferry departure point meaning a 5 minutes’ walk and indeed was closed on that date due to the fact that it happened to be Easter Sunday.
